Looks like a broken front sway bar end link. What could have caused the bind? Broke Drivers Side End Link.jpg

By the looks of it, the end link was touching the sway bar at full lock and snapped the link at the point of contact.

Doesn't help you now, but I chose to mount the link to the front mounting point on the strut, as opposed to the aft, to mitigate some contact risk:

I mounted it to the aft.
That looks to be the problem. Well there goes my free replacement as it was my fault.
Will be putting the stock links back on.

Thanks so much. I look for quality parts and you guys are racing the parts you sell at a reasonable price.
You might want to take the number down tho before Matt gets hammered
I called, ring no answer, will try again later
    EDIT: Got through, Thanks again

Could I also adjust the end links (make them longer) out to help mitigate the angle?

I wouldn't - with disconnected bar, move it downwards and it will hit front subframe - when you make link too long, that's what is going to happen. Unfortunately this is the problem with aftermarket links (and stock ones bend easily with stiffer bars) - they don't fit on the outside of the bar since the distance to strut isn't large enough - I mounted it on the inside and put spacers (washers initially and then a nut - I even posted a size in one of the threads here on what the size is - I think it was M12/1.25 for a Steeda link) to offset link away from the bar.

so a slip-on shim of about 6mm thickness would do the trick, yes? Paging Steeda Engineering... :)
