Slowly but surly I have been developing a thumping / popping noise in the front end of my mustang when going over small imperfections on the road. Now it has gone from every once in a while to almost all the time. Since I dont use my car as a daily and I haven't done a track day in over 9 months I dont think anything is worn out. The car has just over 30k on the clock with about 15k on the current suspension set up. I am running Ford Performance Track spring, struts, shocks with Steeda adj swaybars and endlinks, and Steeda bumpsteer endlinks with Camber bolts with a camber setting of 1.9 deg. Just checked every nut and bolt on both front and rear and every thing was still to torque specs. The only thing I am leaning toward is the strut top plate. It is stock and I do store the car up in the air for prolong periods while I am doing something under the car . Thoughts????

You said camber bolts? Do you mean camber plates?
if you are running the Steeda camber plates than it’s the plates. I had them on mine, changed them to the ford performance ones and noise is gone.

Had similar/same problem on my Bullitt after going the full Steeda route, turned out to be the front bar end links were loose...retorqued and now several thousand miles later all is still good.

My front end noises were caused by my Roush front adjustable struts/springs were bottoming out on the bump stops. In fact this caused the bump stops to disintegrate into powder.

I re-lifted my mustang to recheck all the bolts and everything was good. Turned the steering wheel lock to lock aseveral times. Then had my wife do it while I watches and listened. Still everything seamed like it should. Put the wheel back on and drove it and the popping noise was gone. Best I can guess is the when I was originally working on the car and rotating the steering wheel, the spring on the left front sleep out of its purch just a little and that caused the popping noise. When I did it the 2nd time it must have repeated itself. That us the best most logical thing I can think of. But I will have to see if it repeats itself.

I put new bump stops and raised the strut spring all the way up!

The upper strut bearing/bushings are notorious for early demise. My S550 had bad units at 19,000 miles replaced under warranty. Made a clicking/popping sounds during parking type slow turns.
