A quick little bit of history. Alittle over a year ago now I was involved in a head on collision with my '16 Ecoboost, not at fault. The car was totaled, and I ended up suffering spinal damage. At the time, I wasn't able to move into a new Mustang for various reasons, and i ended up in a '18 Challanger V6. Well, now that i've had that for a year, i just dont find myself enjoying the drive, not in any way close to how i enjoyed my Mustang. As well as afew additoinal problems ive noticed as the year has progressed. I think its about time that i start looking for another Mustang to switch over into, and get abit of that motoring spark back.

Now here's the problem.. I'm not sure what to look at. Right now, i'm leaning more towards used for monetary reasons, and i just can't seem to find anything local, or even on line that really wows me. Im considering something with a performance package if i can find it, and i'm really curious about the magneride system. Maybe i should go test out a new one with the system to see how i like it first. Any suggestions?

Ford might still be offering 0% financing on 2019 Mustangs, and the big, massive, volume dealers take thousands and thousands off of new Mustangs. If you're looking, I'd think the best idea is to buy new.

Look for "left over" new models. You should start seeing unwanted 2019s new on the lot. You can usually get an over optioned car that's been sitting on a lot discounted to where the options are free. My 2018 was built in December of 2017 and I bought it new in April of this year. $10K came off the top before negotiating.

Agree with other members on looking for a great deal on a leftover 2019. Can you better define “monetary reasons” in dollars? I ask because PP1 with MagneRide will not be cheap. Also finding a MagneRide car will be a challenge.

Hit up Koons Ford and see what they have on their massive lots... quite a few members have posted about getting good deals from there.

Also check out cargurus.com for new or used - filter by the year you like, open up the distance to your location search range and you will see vehicles from across the country and be able to instantly tell fair pricing from “that’s ridiculous” for any S550 XYZ model and option packages.

In dollars, im looking to be below $35k out the door. I dont expect to actually find a magneride for that, but one can always hope.

I actually stopped by my local dealer on my way into work tonight, Found out i'm eligible for X-Plan pricing, thanks to where I work, And that ontop of that, theres, supposedly the avalability of a ford private offer, since i was a previous ford owner. And this is all ontop of the dealership rebates, and their own private offer aswell. So it's possible i may be able to grab a new '19 at a good price locally. Here's hoping.

MR cars are more common now than at the beginning of the year. 35K OTD is not a bargain at all. Unless it's optioned out the wazoo.

Here's an interesting possibility - the window sticker doesn't seem to match the pics though.

or better yet (assuming you're not alergic to GT)

Interesting, a 2020 already marked 9% off

Here's a MR car.. wow they've had this one for a while!

just some examples of what's possible so when your local dealer is lying to you, you have something with which to counter.

I think i may grab the listing of that GT to hold onto for the local dealers around here then. Hopefully, i can get something close to that offer up here.

Well if you’re up to a little trip up North, we have this for you. No MR but I know you can get them down.

That is actually a very tempting Ecoboost. We dont have anything here in Charleston that looks close to that on lots right now. I was leaning more towards the GT.. but..

Totally understandable. I got my car up in Conway although it actually came from Beach. They have been advertising Mustang’s like crazy so I know they are looking to move out their 19’s. Good luck with whatever you chose.

I usually look to go super low mileage used, I’ve always had pretty good luck with it. I guess it depends on when and what you’re looking for. Whenever I look through the new stock that’s been sitting, I can never seem to find what I’m looking for. They’re either all base model cars, or they’re the ones that are left after everyone picked over the good stuff. 0% financing would be sweet, but I’ll pay interest if that means getting exactly what I’m looking for, and without paying new car prices. I’ve never looked into the ecoboost or v6 prices but the gt’s can be had for pretty good prices these days. I bought mine out of South Carolina as they’re cheaper down there. The travel and hassle of getting it home was worth it to me after it was all said and done
