I just finished the install. took about 15 minutes in total and worked fine. Once I restarted the car everything seemed to be working well. Moving back and forth from Sync to AA seemed to be a little faster. Thanks to everyone who helped with this.

you are correct. the shifter does NOT have the ability to bump gears, only can be done by the paddles. Shifter can change from D to S, but still need paddles to shift manually.

I agree. I like the shifter and if I had a choice I would opt for an auto stick type shifter and eliminate the paddles. Maybe I'm just old school but having had both sticks and autos I like having a shifter.

I have the same issues. detector wires come loose a few times a month. I tried to put some duct tape across the back of the mirror to put pressure on the wires, and it helps a little. I'm thinking about using the standard wiring harness and going to the fuse box.

I was having a similar problem with AA disappearing while plugged in via USB cable. Someone suggested I get a better quality cable which i did. Just got back from a 1200 mile trip and with the new cable never lost AA once. Quality seems to be the answer.

is #36 a switched fuse? does the unit go off when the car is shut off?

Also my DD so pretty much mechanically stock- just Airaid tube and green filter. All other mods are cosmetic, pins strips, red leather steering wheel cover, custom auto shifter..................

71 and retired. salesman for theatrical lighting equipment. Dealt with almost every film and TV show shot in NY for the past 34 years. Now I'm enjoying the wind blowing thru my hair, whatever is left of it, every time I go for a ride.

there's a whole thread about tapping into the power of the rear view mirror. I assume your mirror is powered like the US ones. I've done this and it's easier and cleaner then running from the fuse box. here's the link to the thread...
