Wow. How are you guys getting such high mpgs? I was averaging 22 before tune. Now I average 18. Granted I do have a heavy foot. I'd say about 60/40 street/highway. But damn I wish I was still pulling 26! Haha

Same here. It really all depends on what kind of driving you do. If your mostly highway your mpg will reflect that and vice versa with city driving. On the highway I get 30+ mpg but in the city I get around 19. All depends.

My daily commute is 35 miles on the highway. So my tank average is around 30-31mpg. When I mix in a lot more city driving or spirited driving my average MPG over a tank drops down to 25-26. Granted for TX2k this year I could go out and burn through 3/4's of a tank in just one night with all the wot pulls I did.

I've wondered the same thing....sometimes I think folks are lying (err stretching the truth).

Sure, I can see 31 if highway only and 25 or so once off the highway, but it is never sustained. My regular driving habits have netted me 19.2 avg after 7300 miles (according to the trip computer).

Lying???? Lol. I get 30 on the highway and 19 in the city, if you take those and blend them it comes out to around 26.4. I don't know why anyone would lie about mpg's that about the dumbest thing I have heard

You can't be serious, people lie about all kinds of things; what would make this any different? I don't think they are outright lying (some might be, who knows), but I've without a doubt seen some stretching of the truth right here on these very forums regarding MPGs. People will do a 10-15 mile run on the highway right after resetting the trip counter and brag how they are getting 35+....

Because my mpg's are exactly what I stated, and it's impossible I'm the only one out of the 1000's of these cars on the road, plus others have posted the same as me and I'm not stretching 1 gallon, and yes people stretch thing, but who brags about mpg's????

You know my original comment was not directed at you, right? You're taking my general statement as if I was saying that YOU lied; that was not where I was going with said comment.

Who brags about MPGs you ask?

Plenty of GT owners on these very forums....

Out of context I hope you understand I'm not saying any of this in a dickish way at all, as long as you know that

This is pretty off topic from 0-60 times but I'm getting roughly 20mpg mixed in the winter mainly because I warm my car up in the morning and it seems to suck a lot of fuel which adds on the counter. I recently did a 400 mile drive to Philly and averaged 30mpg doing 85ish on the thruway for most of the trip.

Another thing to keep in mind is if you have the performance pack that will hurt your fuel economy as well because of the 3.55 gear ratio. I do probably 60 percent highway and 40 percent city and average 23-24 mpg.

You would be correct on 31 if highway only. My daily commute is highway, and when I did not race or do test hits for over 3 weeks I averaged 30mpg per each tank, getting over 400 miles to each one. On a normal tank with all combined driving I do my average over the 5600 miles of the car has been 26mpg. Hope that clarifies what I posted earlier to folks.
