At least they are working with you to get it repaired.

I just spoke to the dealership body shop manager and he said he's got the door and fender perfectly aligned. It's in with the paint department now and he said it will be good as new and undetectable! I might be able to pick it up after work this evening!

I scheduled another appointment (for today at 3PM) with Palmetto Ford on their website. They called me this morning, but I wasn't able to answer. I tried to contact them back, but had no luck. I left him a message, but he hasn't called me back. Not sure what to think of it.
Hope they can get it handled for you!

Have they paid off your old loan yet? Mine is still not paid off, and the first payment on the new one is due in 8 days. I never received any payment coupons or anything from the bank on the new one, so I called them yesterday...they have no record of any loan in my name!

Called the dealer back, and they have no idea what happened on either loan. As long as I don't have to make two car payments in the same month (and all of the numbers balance out when the dust settles), I'm not that concerned about it, but geez...WTF??

Yup, I'll keep paying on the old loan until they pay it off. I'm just going to keep track of the amounts to make sure that whatever I pay on the old car gets taken off of the loan amount on the new car.

That's awesome news!

My good news: I went to Palmetto Ford today and we changed the appointment to Wednesday morning. They want to inspect the whole drive-line and find what's causing the vibration . These people rock! They're taking it seriously.

I'm on the same boat. Did you keep paying it? My old loan's next payment is due in 3 days. :ninja:

Don't call the dealership, call Ford RAV department because that's who is handling the buyback/replacement.

I picked up my GT!!!!!!! I can't believe how much different it feels compared to the EcoBoost. The clutch is night and day but I still feel like the engagement point is too high. Shifts feel so much smoother than the Eco too. Holy shit it's fast, no shortage of power! I smiled the whole way home and can't stop smiling! The repair is perfect and I shined a flashlight up close where I know it was rubbed off and can't see it.

No pictures tonight, it's raining so I will post pics tomorrow.

I've been emailing her daily. I contacted my dealer today and they told me that sent out the payment last monday. I'm on the phone with my bank right now to let them know.

The GT felt "alive" when I turned it on for the first time... and that thing just keeps going when you accelerate it. The best thing about the V8 is that it's not "jerky" like the EB, and I haven't felt any lag at all (in sport/track). I freaking love that engine.

I completely forgot about that.
That's exactly what I noticed pulling out of the dealership, shifts are smooth as butte. No jerking whatsoever, I don't find the gears to be too short either. The 3.73 gears feel good to me and do feel more in the clutch pedal, especially when I am downshifting. I feel a slight clicking when I fully engage the clutch when downshifting. It's nothing harsh it's very subtle but I definitely feel some kind of vibration as I am engaging the clutch, during the pedal travel. I don't think it's clutch chatter, I think I just really feel the clutch disengaging in the pedal, could be the rev matching. I'm going to have my cousin drive it and see what he thinks. He knows cars and grew up in garages with my Uncle and owned a service station many years ago and he maintained the police cruisers when he was a cop.. No way are the techs at Ford touching it if I can help it.

The engine is just incredible and I can't wait to get to open her up on dry road tomorrow.

The build quality is 99.9% better than my EcoBoost. Panels all look really good, the stamping is much better. The hood is straight, doors are straight, the trunk is even. I no longer feel sick when I look at my car.

Change your profile info! :)

I will, I was out driving and showing off my car! [emoji12]

According to my online account the loan on the car Ford bought back is paid off already. So glad that my friend's husband transferred to my dealership and he handled the financing.

Edit: Strange it must have been a glitch in the online banking system because the old loan showed back up in my account so it's not paid off yet.

Here's a picture of the car the detailer sent me after getting foamed. Getting it back on Thursday because it's been cloudy and raining so no sun to cure the CQuartz and a longer cure.

Looks awesome! Did you get the Drive Assist package?

*edit* I love the second picture.

Thanks! My heart sunk when I saw it on the lift with no tires, lol. Picked her up after work and looks amazing. It's been raining so I couldn't get a picture in better lighting. This is a picture the detailer took after the CQuartz.

*edit* If your payment due date is near, call your bank and ask them to extend your "due payment". I ended up doing that since it's taking my dealer longer than expected.

*edit* Sunpass: Paint it black :p :p :p

That's a good idea, I will have to get some black spray paint

Payment due date is two weeks away. I will keep that in mind.

PonyGrrrl - the new GT is looking hot!

Thanks! I'm just so relieved that the nightmare is over and I am finally enjoying owning a new car. Ford took $1885 off the $6600 price difference so in the end I got a pretty killer deal on the GT. After all was said and done and all of my payments and everything got refunded my car payment went up $3 and my insurance came down $10 a month (I didn't see that coming). I'm beyond happy!
