I've had/owned Jap, Korean and even 2 american cars (Ford Escort, Mercury Mystique) in the past and none of them had panel misalignments.

Make sure the trunk isn't making any contact with the bottom part.
Its far from touching the bottom part. Its actually lifted up.
Guess my car was built on a Friday and it was 10/2 on the sticker.

I hope. It's a Ruby Red w/ the Black Accent package (black rims, black spoiler, logos, etc.).

I have to get rid of that front plate :ninja:. Need to buy some plugs or something.
Beautiful! Ruby Red is definitely the fastest color! :first:

Mine's here.

It has a hood misaligment (passenger side gap is bigger than driver gap), oh well. It's in better shape than I though.
That hood mis-alignment should be an easy fix for the dealership. Congrats on the new replacement.

I guess I won't get any rest... I noticed today that the replacement vehicle DOES vibrate whenever I go over 50MPH. It's a bit different than the old one though since I can actually see the steering wheel "shake". I just hope that it's just a balance/alignment issue.
Probably is the front tires if the steering wheel shakes.

Mine was done pretty quickly. I got in touch with the RIGHT person who reviewed my case and had all they needed to make the call. Ford sent paperwork to my dealer and I to fill out. I stopped by and did the paperwork to surrender the vehicle and pick the replacement. That process took maybe 3 days to get the paperwork, another 3 days at the dealership bouncing between the bank, Ford, and the dealership. Waited over this past weekend--it was Thursday/Friday? at the dealer and the worksheet to finish the swap was ready Monday morning and I was in my car by 2:30 pm.

So by the time you have made your case and Ford finds in your favor, it is over in a week and a half or so. This is how my experience went with Ford directly and I avoided the BBB process. They literally had one more day before I faxed my paperwork to the BBB, but they came through.

It is not an easy process. I was immediately elevated to the regional level when I first called since it was almost a month consecutive, so I guess that is 2nd level. I wound up having to go up another level to the third level of support, which seemed like it was going to work, but my dealer stepped in and called 'his guy' that came by locally, reviewed the case, and was able to make the call. The level 2 person was not passing the needed paperwork to level 3, otherwise, it looked like they were going to take care of it.

So yesterday officially marked the switching of cars. Now I have to deal with this driveshaft issue, but that is peanuts compared to what I've just been through.

Hope the 16 is better. My early 15 has been well nigh perfect, except for the squealing brakes (fixed) and seat coolers (not so much).

^^^ Yes, you need to be with them on the test drive to specifically point out what you are seeing.

They ended up balancing all four tires. It got rid of the steering wheel shake, but the car still vibrates 50-70MPH.

I don't know what to do next. I'm tired of wasting hours and hours on this. Hell, Ford hasn't even paid my old loan (2015 Mustang EB - Lemon). Next "monthly payment" is on the 15th and if I don't pay it, it'll screw up my credit.

Should I lawyer up? or is it a waste of money?
Is the dealer refusing to try to fix the driveline vibration even though they can feel it? Have them try the pinion flange first and see if that fixes it. That is a very quick job that you could probably just wait for. I really doubt that a new DS will fix it since it hasn't fixed it in anyone else's car.

I drove the car on the highway 55-60MPH and felt the vibration though (steering wheel, floor, pedals, etc). It's not that bad, but it's there.
I'd drive it a couple of days first and try to find a road in very good condition. Someone here mentioned they thought their vibration was still there, but it was just from the road(s) and after finding some newly surfaced road they couldn't feel anything.

Did they do a road force balance on the tires, or just a plain old spin balance? Did they also check for wheel and tire run-out. All important things to look for in wheels/tires when balancing.

I'm so bummed I couldn't bring my GT home today. I did sit in it and start her up, opened the hood and admired the beautiful sound of the coyote. The cabin is so quiet at idle I couldn't believe it. With the windows down it sounded beautiful! The redline interior is gorgeous and I am so happy I choose to go with them. I usually hate red interiors but this is so tastefully done and it gives it a sporty yet elegant feel. I really like the turn signals in the hood vents. The rear glass is slightly lower on the driver side but it's acceptable and only noticeable if you know to look for it. The trunk is night and day to my 15 but is still slightly off, again it's acceptable and it's off by very little, totally within tolerance. The trunk closes with ease. Rear fenders are also a huge improvement from my 15 but still not perfect and probably won't be until a model refresh. The hood is also night and day from my 15, as are the bumper and headlights. I'm really disappointed that the passenger door has paint rubbed off down to the primer right along the edge from rubbing the fender. The shop manager says it's an easy fix, he has to move the fender forward and he said because of where the paint rubbed of it's easy to fix and it won't be noticeable. I really can't wait to go back to drive it home .

Aside from the passenger doors and the fender, which is fixable, the panel alignment and the stamping is is greatly improved! I also ended up paying $39665 for a GT Premium PP, 401a, Nav, Redline, ACC, and Reverse Park assist. When all was said and done my payment went up $3. My old loan was paid off and all payments and previous fees were credited back toward the new loan.

I'm very pleased with how it turned out financially, Ford discounted the difference in price between the EcoBoost and the GT in sum of $1885.

I'm glad it worked out for you :D.

*edit*

I agree, the hood turn signals look awesome! I love em.

Thanks! Sorry to read about your troubles with yours. Are you getting anywhere with the second dealership (Palmetto I think you said)?

I scheduled another appointment (for today at 3PM) with Palmetto Ford on their website. They called me this morning, but I wasn't able to answer. I tried to contact them back, but had no luck. I left him a message, but he hasn't called me back. Not sure what to think of it.

At least they are working with you to get it repaired.

I just spoke to the dealership body shop manager and he said he's got the door and fender perfectly aligned. It's in with the paint department now and he said it will be good as new and undetectable! I might be able to pick it up after work this evening!
