........ and our Stangs have crevices. This body traps water more than any I have owned, especially in the grill and the trunk lid area for me. I at least use a leaf blower for the grill.

you guys are ridiculous to think using a leaf blower will scratch your paint... I've been using one for years... I've seen a huge decrease in swirls and scratches using one compared to anything else... my mustangs paint is flawless and I've been using the leaf blower since day one....

I bought a blower that looked about the same size at the local auto parts store for like $15.

I've used a leaf blower and that small blower on my cars for years.
Cool, I'll see what I can find. I'm thinking I'll use the AMMO mainly for cleaning. I'll try their wiping method to dry it, but honestly I'll probably switch to using some type of blower. The WaterBlade will still work for windows, though.

Here's one on Amazon ($23) that looks just like the Chemical Guys blower, but different color.

You won't need anything for the windows because a good blower will remove it all.

I'd be able to go along with the idea of something that only generates a 30 or 40 mph breeze far easier than the 200+ mph that Toro pitches for their electric leaf blowers.

As to water drops left over . . . what do you guys do after driving when it rains? Or do you not drive then and never have it parked outdoors?

On edit, I'd much rather drive than detail, and since that's where this thread has moved there isn't much point in me following it much longer.

Okay, so why is there hardly any mention of gas leaf blowers? I have a gas one and want to use it, curious why everyone uses the electric vs. gas?

The gas blowers usually exhaust out with the air. If you use that you're basically blowing exhaust with contaminants right into your paint. Not to mention depending on how hot the air is coming out and how close you are, you could risk melting your clear.

Watch at about 3:30 if you have any concerns about a gas blower. Posted this earlier but didn't imbed for some reason.

LoL ... blowing off a car isn't rocket science. Only thing you have to be careful about is don't get too close where you could actually touch & scratch the car with the tip of the blower. The air velocity is coming out fast enough where you don't need the tip of the blower nozzle any closer than 6~12 inches away from the surface of the car.

I tried out Ammo. Works well, but I'll be trying a blower next.
