Laxed NHRA roll cage rules for 2022!

LOL. I didn’t read the new rules... any change to convertibles?

Tracks don’t like convertibles on most nights... unless it’s a rental where they seem to turn a blind eye...

Ok just read it... 13.49 limit without a roll cage. So kind of looks like rentals only again. Usually they’ve let the stock convertibles by without too much of a hassle. They let me by once. Ripped off a 10.5x at 133 and they kindly said I was done and to get a cage... no sense of humour those guys.

I ran 10.20/138 in my coupe and they didn't say anything. This year will be quicker.

Nothing from them yet, but they will probably follow suit. I have both IHRA & NHRA tracks 1-1 1/2 hours away. I prefer the NHRA track, even though it's a bit farther. MUCH nicer facility. Always better prep.

Changed the name to Interlake dragways, ran under IHRA rules. They're more concerned about profit rather than prep.

Make sure you get a licsence to go into the 9s also.Make sure your have the protective gear also.Jacket pants gloves neck collar and helment.

I believe you only need the license for events, not test and tune days.
