Hi everyone. Not sure if this is the right area to look for some information about the upcoming NHRA drag race at Joliet Route 66 Dragway. I plan on going once again over the weekend with family and friends but I happened to notice on Thursday they have a sportsman class. It is only 10 minutes from my house and $15 to get in. My question is does anybody know what happens on Thursday. Is it just the drivers setting up or will they be doing some actual runs. If they're doing actually runs $15 is a steal. Anybody ever gone on a Thursday?

The sportsman class is basically a bracket race. No pro tree. Cars can range in speed from 6s to 16s. Not very interesting to watch if you don't know the ins and outs of bracket racing.
