Hi all not sure if this has been brought up but does anyone know if there is a fix for the 1 Second delay with LC on these cars? It makes dig racing painful...

I thought the FPRS had a different firmware that reduced if not eliminated it, at least that was what I recall. I think @Epiphany looked into the update, but it is not available for public consumption.

I mean how does Ford have 80 milliseconds shifts but has 1+ second launch? You can adjust your reaction time just isn't natural and likely won't be consistent...

Well @Epiphany had checked mine, and mine had the new software for the DCT to eliminate the 1 second delay (mine built 7/2/20), but older built cars I think you have to have ford do the software update, but I dont think if I remember correctly ford will do it for free. Not sure so the man himself has to chime in for that answer to verify or refute.

Hmm....mine was built mid July, guess I need to check software....cause if I have new software then it's still delayed

There is a DCT F/M update available through IDS. Forscan cannot do it.

Rumor has it that the update allows for certain other benefits for us modded guys, so mine is being update this week and hopefully tested soon to confirm the theory

Care to opine on what the “other benefits” are?
