I can tell you drag race guys that their is a new flash code from Ford that eliminates the delay!! I attended track attack today, and they informed us that all the cars were flashed with the new update. It was brand new to the instructors also so I do not know if it is available at the dealership yet? But no delay on the Track Attack cars, it worked perfectly.

If true how does one go about finding out which they have as my current build date is 7/1. Is this something that the dealership will know only?

This would be a nice update. It absolutely sucks to try to get a great R/T with the delay. I’ve adjusted my response timing and have been able to cut multiple .001s. But with a reflash, I’ll have to adjust my timing again.

@Epiphany yes everyone was running 12’s . I think my best was a 12.3, one guy did get a 12.1. We were close to getting into the 11’s

As soon as I get home I’m going to ask my dealer if it’s available. It was brand new to ford performance also.

I contacted someone I know that can find out if anything is available at the dealer level yet. If anyone can find out about this, he can.

Just got a response:

"There is no published bulletin associated with this. It is possible that there is a PCM update. The only way to do an update is to use the IDS and manually there is a way to check for PCM updates and it will ask you if you want to update to the newest calibration. Its possible Ford MAY publish a bulletin on it, but as of right now, nothing written."

Hmm. My car was just built. I wonder when they started to include the update in production vehicles.

I can look at your calibration in ETIS and compare it to an older CFTP car.

Its going to be a while. Things are pretty backed up at Penske.

All you need is a VIN.

Interesting. Now just raise the RPM for launch control!
