Katzkins in a Mach?

Debating a set of red Katzkin seat covers for the Mach to replace the factory black with gray stripe. Something similar to the factory GT showstopper red interior. Thinking they would look sharp with the silver car and black/red graphics but not sure if it would look too tacky or over the top. Thoughts?

Hi Mike. I am doing the same thing with my Mach 1 in a few weeks. Steeda will put on some Katzkin in the car with orange bolster and other cosmetic changes. Once I get it completed, I will send pictures. But in all honesty, the interior in these car are horrible. There needs to be better interior options available for the price point set by these cars. If you take a look at the Shelby GT, it has Katzkin on them and the interior looks much better than stock. I say go with what you like Mike.

It's beyond dumb that there are no OEM options other than boring black for the Mach 1 (and Shelbys for that matter).

Which eBay seller did you go with? I've been pondering doing the seat in my F150....

He has a bunch of listings for $864 but the Katzkin name is crossed out in all his pics, says for marketing reasons Katzkin won’t let him show the name. I was a LITTLE uneasy about them turning out to be cheap knockoffs but took a chance. Total cost with the upgraded cooled seat foam, tax, and shipping was a little under $1100. There’s another seller with another bunch of listings for $1395 that shows the Katzkin name.

Give them a call. Obviously they won’t give you a warranty if you install yourself.

You will love the Katzkins, you may want to keep your stock covers in case you want to return it to stock or for just originality. That being said I love my Katzkins.

There are 20 brands of seat covers now,all over ebay and the internet that mimic katzskin
I got me a set for my base car in black and they really kick ass.

SUPER PUMPED, had to contact about 3 or 4 businesses before finding one will to do the job, but found a custom embroidery shop who is going to embroider this Mach 1 logo in red on the new Katzkin front seats in the black panel between the red leather in the seat back and the headrest:

2-1/2 inches high, they really nailed the font perfectly. I sent them pics of the dash plaque and the fender emblem and they came up with this. They said there's a possibility they won't be able to get the cover onto their machine to do the job so I have to take them the covers when they arrive so they can test it. Total cost - $100! I thought it would be way more.

If this works out as intended, this is going to be one sweet looking interior.

I wonder what posessed Ford artists to make such a hash out of the logo. It's not symmetric nor kerning consistent across the letters. Should have been something more like

Wonderful idea Mike. I like it!!!! I already asked Joe from Steeda to take a look at what you are proposing. My seat will be orange, since it is an FJG vehicle, but your concept is still a very good one. I just need to color match is all.

My girlfriend’s new party dress has arrived!! Now off to the embroidery shop so they can confirm ability to custom stitch the logo into the seat backs. Ended up going with 2” high lettering, 1” above the seam.

… aaaaaand they can’t do it. 3rd shop I tried, time to give up. They’ll look good enough without the logo.
