My 2019 GT/CS will be three years old on 3/25. Decided to buy my Ford ESP now to get in before the price increase tomorrow. Paid $920 total for 8 years/48K miles. I haven't even reached 10K yet so having 7200 mile per year for 5 years will be more than enough. The $920 also includes the interior/exterior bulb warranty for $15. Purchased from Flood Ford as they we the least expensive vs. Ziegler & Lombard. I've also bought from them before and their service was excellent.

The plan you have purchased, does it kick in after the 3/36 or 5/60 is up, or did it have fine print that stipulated the ESP kicked in as of the vehicle purchase date and runs concurrently with the existing 3/36 or 5/60?

Standard Ford ESP PremiumCare. Starts day one of service. So I really bought a 5 year 38k bumper to bumper and and extra 3 years on the powertrain.

Do you know approximately how much more this plan is now with the price increase? My car's 3/36 expired in November so I'm not sure how it would work for me (if at all).

The price goes up tomorrow But Lombard posted this. And you’ll be fine since these plans allow a buffer period till 41 months.

Thanks. I may look into this today so thank you for the heads up on the price increase. I have been trying to decide if I want to modify the car or keep it stock for the warranty. My car is currently sitting at about 19k miles...

I bought 7yr/60K for my 2019 GT (bought 1/25/19) last night. $1000. When I last looked at the quote sheet it was more like $700. Used 80,000 FordPass points to get $400 reduction in price. I've never bought ESP before. Well technically I did when I bought my F150 - the dealership charged me 2500 when I signed the papers but then I looked up the price and I could get it for half that so I cancelled and they refunded me by putting a credit against my Ford vehicle loan.

If you're going to ESP it behooves you to buy it 'early' it seems rather than wait till the last minute.

Hey Ira,

I'm in a similar boat with my 2019 purchased in May 2019. I have 24000 km (15000 miles) and am wanting to keep this car for a long time as I love it! I am looking at a Ford Premium Care ESP for $2095 Can.(~$1600 US) for 8 years or 80,000 km (About 50k miles). We don't have the kind of options you guys have on pricing unfortunately when it comes to shopping around.

Anyways I'm on the fence if I should pull the trigger as it has a $100 deductible that applies when used though if it were a major repair that wouldn't amount to much. I got a quote for a 3rd party warranty too which is much cheaper but they are scams overall from what I've read. It seems the Ford ESP is a pretty comprehensive warranty?

But I am tempted by the idea I can drive the car for another 5 years fairly worry free too :) Anyways just looking for some encouragement to pull the trigger lol.

Hi Cam. Please avoid 3rd party warranties at all costs. They’re great just so long as you do not need them. Then boom!! Considering the money we spend on our cars for all sorts of things the small overall cost of a real Ford ESP is worth its weight in gold. That is, of course, you need it. If you never use it then your money paid for peace of mind. For me it’s a win, win.

Thank you good advice here. Yeah I figure Ford or nothing. I waited with this car for a few years to consider it to make sure I liked it and wanted to keep it and I know that I do.

And like you mine is driven fairly low miles annually so getting the longer time period coverage with lower mileage expected is appealing to me. I think I'm going to pull the trigger on it in the next month or so and not look back :) Thx again!
