No prob. I'm thinking as the EB becomes more performance proven and less enthusiasts and more bargain shoppers start buying S550s the gap will widen and more EBs will sell

So in July Ford sold 1,442 V-6 equipped Mustangs. And without those sales, Ford Mustang total sales for the month would be below Camaro sales for the month of July. Because total Mustang sales were 8,482 and Camaro for July was 7,469. A difference of 1,013 autos. Without the sale of 1,442 V-6 Mustangs, Camaro would have topped Mustang sales for July. Maybe reason enough to keep the V-6 around as "bragging rights" have always been part of the muscle-car market segment. That lower cost Mustang with the Cyclone engine just might be the edge Ford needs to beat out the Chevy Camaro. Just saying...

wow that's LOW for the v6...ford might end up dropping it after all if it's consistently low.

i'm still scared v6 ecoboost is gonna replace the v8 eventually one day.

I added up some of the sales numbers.
Last 12 months: 108,612 (I'm sure that includes a lot of 2014's.)
October 2014 - July 2015: 99,576 (should be almost all 2015's)
January 2015 - July 2015: 76,772

I sure hope so... don't want all my neighbors and co-workers driving Coyotes! :D

I think GubMint Motors will cut into sales somewhat when the Camaro hits, but I think iti'll be a bump, and not a trend. Look for a pic of a 2016 Camaro with the hood up. Does it remind you of something?

That is all...

Surprised by the v6/echo sales. Thought they would be closer to the same.

It's not surprising that V6 sales are low because Ford wants them to be low. Like the 5.0 V8 in the F-150s, Ford knows that the 3.7 V6 is a great engine that gets comparable real world mileage to their EcoBoost engines, but they want the Ecoboost's EPA numbers for CAFE. Dealers I've seen usually have one or no V6s with a lot of EcoBoosts and about half as many GTs as EcoBoosts. Sales people and managers have told me that Ford is really pushing the EcoBoosts and the way Ford has priced and packaged them in regard to available options reinforces that. I think the V6 may go away in for 2017 or 2018 and GT sales will naturally become lower after most of the enthusiasts have gotten their S550s

I'm pretty sure lots of people decided to go Ecoboost over V6 just because that was the only way to get premium stuff... Kinda dumb from Ford but eh, I love my "base" V6, having enough bells and whistles for my taste

As Albert Einstein stated, "Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler." And so goes the remarkable Cyclone 300HP naturally aspirated engine. Rated on regular unleaded, it's cheap to run and gets very decent MPG. I've had two vehicles with this 3.7L engine and each were totally trouble-free. I'm fairly confident my 2015 V-6 vert will gallup many a mile.
