July 2018 - 5,934 (-4.4% vs 6,206 in July 2017)
2018 YTD - 48,362 (-4.8% vs 50,814 through July 2017)

"Mustang continues segment leadership, with 5,934 vehicles sold. Through the first half of 2018, Ford Mustang has outsold Camaro and Corvette combined. Mustang is attracting a younger buyer with its 2.3-liter EcoBoost powertrain. EcoBoost represents nearly 50 percent of Mustang sales."

The Mustang only comes in two powertrains: a 4-pot and a V8. Why would Ford advertise that nearly 1/2 of the sales are a 4-pot. MORE THAN 1/2 of all Mustang buyers purchase the V8 (and rightly so). This would be more news if the Mustang came with 3 engines...but a pick of two and you advertise the looser. Doesn't make any sense.

That's because Ford is drunk on Ecoboost Koolaid!

Ford has a lot more at stake with the Ecoboost motors than the 5.0...I'm actually surprised it's not more than half.

They don't want to broadcast the fact that most people want a V8 and are willing to pay more for it.

4.8% decline year over year on a model refresh tells me a lot, especially during the peak of the season. Has Ford's new pricing hurt sales, interest rates, or is the economy just not as good as we are lead to believe?

People hearing about a/c and engine issues? Sorry...little ticked off right now about my a/c. Can’t say I would be in the recommending mood.

Id be willing to bet some has to do with the whole transmission is made of glass and the engine is about to blow up group of people that seem to be very outspoken. Also was not surprised to see the over all lack of sales numbers for cars. a few of my friends not even looking at ford since they are dropping the car lines except mustang. resale is going to tank and no one wants a new 2019 anything thats not even going to be around in 1-2 years at all
