Yea 10-15 years ago it was harder to lock a tune, so everyone copied everyone. Now it's all some big secret.

10-15 years ago the majority of tuners worked together amd all belonged to a tuning group and bounced ideas and worked together to make the platforms better

everybody "steals" everybody else's work. Ford stole Mopar and GM designs, control software, ECU tables and so on. And GM/Mopar do the same to Ford and nobody gets their panties in a knot. It's how the world works.

I expect the reason why Lund encrypts their tables these days is:
1) conceal just how little they actually do
2) have legal cover to claim trade secret/proprietary
3) capture the customer

There is no trade secret when they are only enhancing Ford's file. What are you talking about?

This is why none of this EVER lands in court. The tuners don't own shit and none of it is proprietary to them.

Kinda sounds like Beefcake has some insight on this and had a response to the allegations along with a reply from Jon sr. I cannot say who is right in that back and forth.....neither can you.

0 backpedal. You want me to say Shaun is right based on an allegation. Beefcake at that time said they had such tune already for a while and lund didnt feel like it was worth hammering at it. Lund said he never used the tune he was sent and later Jr took on the task to figure it out. Picking the "correct" side in that is no different than covering your eyes and throwing a dart at a bullseye. Glad you love you AED tune, welcome to M6g newbie.

None of that matter/I have no dog in this fight because again -- they are all thiefs.
