Sure hope the ECU isn't that smart as to cancel out the faster throttle inputs it's seeing.

Just installed mine over the weekend, and all I have to say is... hehehehehehe :D

LOL!! I'm not pulling it. Just like every mod I put on, car feels slower after a while.

Ugh. I'm considering yanking mine out. The effect seems lessened now, after a few weeks with it installed. I'm not sure if the PCM is learning, and negating the Pedalmax??? Maybe I'm crazy. DAMN
I saw someone on another forum say this after a month on his S197. He just was getting used to it. He removed it and verified the throttle response went to hell.

Just like how people with the car's stock throttle response... you get used to the lag, and you don't know it's there until someone points it out to you.

now that you've driven it with the pedalmax, maybe you should pull it out...drive it for a few days and report back with us:thumbsup:
Alright party people... I disconnected it, and the car is undeniably slower. Me no more talk.

Same thing happened when I put my catback on. I coulda sworn I lost torque.

So this is embarrassing... This car (GT) has different battery connections that other cars I've changed batteries on. How exactly do you disconnect the negative terminal? I assumed it was the bolt on the left (and not the one in the front), but when it was loosened, it wasn't enough to disconnect it. There's also some weird black plastic tab in there, and I'm not sure what that's about.

Please excuse the ludicrously stupid question, but I would appreciate the help.

The nut on the left basically tightens and looses a clamp on the battery terminal. Once you've loosened it enough, the wire should come off, just pull straight up. You may have to stick a box wrench on the bolt head to keep it in place to tighten and loosen the nut though.

Thanks! I loosened the nut, but it didn't seem like it wanted to come out. Perhaps I just need to pull harder on it. Sorry to derail the thread!

Call me stupid but I can't get the device to work. Can someone make a vid of the installation? I know it'll be hard to do that given the tight space but j would appreciate it.

Thanks

Update: nvm. I got it. Will test drive tonight.

Mine arrived (thanks again for the forum discount, Beef!) and I was hoping to get it installed tonight, but didn't get a chance. Not a problem, however, because my BMR cradle lockout kit is supposed to arrive tomorrow, so I can put them both on at the same time, along with my Ford Racing transmission cooler scoop that arrived today! Good times! :D I'm looking forward to seeing what all the hype is about with the PedalMax.
