Just put this on my GT. I've never done much work on my car before, changed simple drop-in filters, etc. I thought the install was relatively simple for someone that's never even done it before.

Hardest part for me was definitely fitting the pieces together, but a little bit of work and it slid over the factory. It's raining here, but I took it for a spin and it felt great with a tune, sounds good too.

Thought the customer support was top notch and now I'm itching to do more. I hate that I found this website because seeing what everyone is doing is making me want to do everything to mine.

Good to hear Phillip! Got it installed before the weekend!

What, if any, are the performance difference between the Dry Filter and the Oiled filter? Where do you purchase new dry filters and what do they cost? How long between changing the filters

I always worry about oiling filters because of intake sensor issues.

Good question, I'd like to know this as well.

The dry filters will typically out flow the oiled when brand new by a small margin, however in short time the difference is very little. With that in mind all of our testing with our intakes systems has always based with a oiled filter as this is the most popular option.

We will be getting dry filters for this setup very soon, cost should be $60-70 for replacements as they are similar priced to the oiled filters. The Intake kit will still be $349 with any filter option.

As for how often you change them is going to depend on your location and driving conditions. I would say 20k-30k would be a good estimate on mileage.

As for the oiled filters and sensor issues, as long as your use good judgment on oiling the filter after cleaning you'll be fine. The problem with any other filter is when folks drench them in oil. We typically recommend just enough oil that it colors the filter.

Will the dry filter fit on the intake ordered with an oiled filter if someone changes their mind later?

Is there an videos showing the oiling method?

Just ordered my JLT CAI today!! looking forward to installing next week.:D

The tune shop installed mine 2 days ago, I really like the dark tone coming from the front.
Drive a lot with my window open to hear it even more. haha

Do these normally have that really high pitched whistle coming from the intake with light throttle?

I hear that sometimes, but it isn't enough to be annoying, at least not to me :)

You will hear the suction/whistle in throttle, it's not that it goes away at high RPM's it's just the engine noise and exhaust drowns it out.

Will the 90mm BBK throttle bottle improve the gains by much when adding it along with your cold air intake and tune?
