JLT Intake Install

Did anyone who installed a 2020 GT500 JLT intake have any issues getting the air box to fit? It is such a tight fit with it rubbing a tab that sticks out on the cylinder head and a radiator house and wire loom below it.

The fresh air inlet tube did not line up easily with the grill intake and the inlet tube was rubbing the nut on the band clamp for the radiator hose so I had to rotate the clamp. It also slightly raises my hood.

I watched JLT’s install video and everything just drops in easily. Not sure what I could be doing wrong because there is no wiggle room in the space and the air box lines up with the bolt holes.

I also had the same issues you guys are having with a tight fit and resting on the lower radiator hose. I emailed them and they wanted photos so I sent them several very detailed photos of the fit. This was their reply:

Thank you for the additional pictures. You do have the kit installed correctly and it appears to fit nicely. I spoke with Jay about the concern you have and showed him the pictures that you supplied. He advised that it is completely normal fitment in that corner of the heatshield on the new GT500 and shouldn’t cause any issues with the coolant hose. Please let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns with the kit.

Not sure if the JLT is a perfect fit but that sports bra sure is!

I would be interested in the JLT if it doesn't require a tune. Haven't read enough about it to know.

Neither jlt or 1320 require tunes

So, tricky install, no tune version, $$$ paid and HP gain. Is it worth it? honestly want to know because I am ready to begin to decide on pondering which one to purchase.

I think it was coastal dyno that did runs on both...I may be mistaken but there was a couple of videos on youtube that showed 20-30 hp gains with jlt and I think there was a couple that showed 30+ with 1320. Neither had nor required tunes. Hope this helps
