Ouch, I would hope that insurance would total it out and get another one that won't have the inevitable rattles that will come with fixing it. Glad you are alright though!

Stupid SUV/pickup drivers around here think they should drive faster than everyone else. I once had an Expedition fly past me in the rain. When I caught up to it a couple of miles later, it was sitting upside down on the roof.

At least you are ok. Hope their insurance does right by you.

that has to be a total! the whole back left and rear and prob some of the right has to be rebuilt. not to mention, glass roof, and whatever else got all twisted up on the frame.

Man, that super-sucks!!!!! But, it's great that everyone is ok.

I know I would be devastated.....I want my car to remain pristine as long as possible.

However, a really good body shop can return it to like new condition. Remember to get the check for diminished value from the insurance company of the at-fault driver. Normally, they send it to you after the repair is completed without having to ask for it. But if you don't get it in a week or two after that, make the phone call to ask.

The dealership that we sent it to to be fixed said that it would probably be fixed and that it looked like the Tahoe missed the frame but haven't put it in the air

Sorry to hear OP, that sucks and hopefully they total it out so you can get a new one.

I live in Clearwater, hope you had a good time while you were here at least!

Only problem I can't find a 50 model with all the same options like blind spot monitoring and accident alert so I don't know if I will get everything I want on a new one

They said they are going to fix it but it's about 14k in repair cost and will take 4 weeks

Yep, 14K will not be enough to total it out. If the airbags had deployed, that would have done it......but then you would have been in much more danger.....so.....

Honestly, without seeing the driver side and front 3/4 views, I'd say it's fixable. Doesn't look that bad based on the pics above.

Crazy how the rear window blew out....

Know the feeling, lost my 2013 back in March to a woman rear-ending and totaling it. It had over $20k in damage and airbag deployed. Sucks man.

Sorry, but this is any driver. has nothing to do with SUV / PICKUPS. I see just as many asshats in mustangs.
