Passenger side has about 1/8th inch of clearance from hitting frame. My steering shaft I tried denting it and still only ended up creating a washer sized gap from steering shaft. I also upgraded to steeda mounts

I bet that hits under load at shifts.

Your not going to like the answer.

Take them off again and dent them with something blunt like a small deadblow on the pipe and then use another hammer to pound it in a little.

I dont think with them on youd be able to do it without risking going through the pipe like you said.

I may try again if PBD seems to think it is false knock and if I puncture the header tube then oh well, I can try to possibly weld it back shut or something. Anything besides taking them off again lol, nightmare.

No on E85 you can add all the advance as early as possible since it won't knock. Kind of an old school way of doing it but it works well. If this was a dyno tune and the shop has the proper dyno they could tune MBT at several RPMs. The increase would not be much.

On distributor motors we would have full advance in by 2300 Rpm or so

What I think I'm seeing in the log is the engine moving in its mounts and hitting something.

Will be interesting to hear what PBD says about it.
Well something ain't working cause he should be well into the 11s. Spinning a little or not. Anyways i still don't like that timing map. Should look like stairs. Not a seismograph.

Any recommendations on denting it more? I font want to pierce the metal piping
Get it red hot and wedge something between the shaft and tube. Same where the frame almost touches.

Yeah I may have to do that. You think my false knock is causing any major power loss? To me it seem minor at the moment but for sure will need to get it figured out

I don't think it's hurting you too bad. But it is pulling down to 25 degrees in 3rd so that would slow your MPH, how much I don't know

I looked at that log again. It is running 32 degrees and the KR is pulling it down to 29, at the very end of the run it drops to 28.

I think MBT timing on an E85 Coyote is 28 degrees. I am going off my failing memory. Maybe @engineermike will chime in.

Anyways i still don't like that timing map. Should look like stairs
It is due to the scaling.

Either way you seem to know a lot more about the datalogs than me and this helps a lot

I think it maybe over advanced. That would also cause a slower time.

Here is a video comparing E85 timing VS gas. He did drag it out to 10 min but it is informative, also I wish I had a dyno like his.
