Thank you! I was actually wondering about that exact technique of feathering into it instead of mashing the throttle to gain grip. I suppose it will vary per car/setup and I will have to mess with it to find that sweet spot.
One more thing, what rear gear do you have and do you have drive modes? Ford's claimed 0-60 number likely was done with an auto with the track drive mode and possibly with the 3.55 gear. I know for 2018, their 0-60 claim was with an auto PP1 premium car (3.55 gear, drag mode, and the 275 rear MPS4S tires). Ford claimed 3.8 sec 0-60 for 2018 auto PP1 premium and beat I could do with 3.55 gear, drag mode, and PP1 wheels/tires on beat road I could find was 4.5. I didn't record my time on the drag strip on DRs but I'm sure it was much better as I cut a 1.79 60' and went almost 99 mph in the 1/8.

Not sure without having a look at it. Seeing as it is the base non-PP car that it has 3.15s that come standard? I doubt I have the 3.55 gearing in there. As for drive modes on the base model, all I get are Normal and Sport.

Yeah, you probably have the 3.15 gear then. That should be taken into consideration for yourself when comparing to Ford's numbers. I wouldn't feel bad about not being able to match it. My car is not a PP1 but it has 3.55 gear as an option.

Just ran a 3.23 second 0-60 yesterday morning. That’s with 28psi in the Mickeys and the asphalt temps were only 34-36°. With asphalt temps around 90-100°, and my tires aired down to around 21-22°F, I might be able to squeeze a 2.99 out of it. Stock suspension.

Jesus that is low. That would absolutely murder my car lol. I'm looking into 3.55 gearing. Is that essentially all I need and have it swapped out on a base GT?

https://www.americanmuscle.com/frpp-355-gears-2015.html
Would this be all I need for the swap or do I need some other things that would be recommended to also change out while that is being done?

I don't think he's stock :giggle:
Lmao just read his signature. They are turned off on mobile. That explains a few things. 😬

Edit: After reading up some, the general consensus was that the 3.15's (or 3.31's) are preferred for FI which I will be doing down the road at some point when she is not my daily. So I will not touch the gearing.

I appreciate all the info guys, you have been a massive help.

The Nitto 555G2 are fine for the front but not the rear. With TC / Advanced Trac off they will not hook well and you'll spin. While you need the nannies off to not pull timing you need to be able to put the power down. Check out their 555 R2. It's a very streetable DR that can hook power but still handle dd duties and rain.

Signature is viewable on mobile if you turn landscape instead of portrait (phone horizontal vs vertical)

You need to practice your launch. I did 0-60 according to car timer in 4.5-4.7 seconds. There was definitely more in her. You do need to feather the clutch. The OEM clutch is a tad tricky too, it feels like an on/off switch with the OEM spring. I will do more runs now that I have the power kit and about 100lbs lighter, most of that rotational mass.

That's a significant reduction in rotational mass. You should see results with that. Little things like swapping out the pp1 wheels that are boat anchors with lighter wheels, adding Baer/Eradispeed rotors to the Brembo kit, and going CF DS can significantly assist with rotational weight.

I just tried my first 0-60 with the track app today. 2100 miles on the odometer. 2020 GT PP1 A10 car. Only mods are a Steeda X-pipe, and MRR M600 19x10s all around with 275/40/19 Michelin PS4. The wheels are about 8 pounds lighter each. I had my wife with me, and in sport mode I ran a 5.0, then switched to drag mode and ran a 4.7 on a 90 degree Ohio day, just driving around. Short strip of unused road with good asphalt near where I work. 93 octane

I did 0-60 in 4.6 with my MT and it was at that time a stock 300A 6MT car. You should be bettering this. That being said 0-60 is really a ridiculous benchmark. I want to see 0-100 mph and 1/4mle times and mph.
