I'm looking at getting a '15-17 GT (really miss my 03 Mach1) and wondering if the Perf Pkg is worth getting if I plan to get the Track Handling Pack, Power Pack 3 and the Sport exhaust (or GT350, still deciding).

Also it says the flasher that comes with the PP3 allows gear changes up to 4.09, does that mean i'd need something else to get a 4.10 gear to be calibrated correctly? If so then I may as well get a custom dyno tune.

I was torn on my car not having the Performance Package when I bought it. The biggest item would be the Brembos - that really makes it worth the price of admission. The other items can be had in the Ford Street Handling Pack for around 1.1K. And the gauge cluster.

I decided to forgo, because of the price I got was too good to pass-up and will just add the handling bits + strut tower and k brace on my own.

Depends on what you plan on using it for. Several threads on this.

I skipped it. For street driving around its not necessary. Just went with the 3.55s and got the PP rims/tires for cheap.

If you like spirited cornering at all, yes. Otherwise, no.

Bigger radiator, better front splitter and underbelly, brakes, better diff, wheels and tires that can be sold for more than non PP wheels and the center gauges look cool. I tried to buy a non PP but the cost of installing those items would have been double the PP price. And they are covered by warranty. Also you should be able to sell the stock PP suspension components for more. But like stated, several threads going over pros and cons.

Why not test drive one of each and determine if it's worth it yourself. Nobody can tell you right or wrong here, but everybody will have an opinion. The problem with that is it isn't your opinion.

Well my question was more around is it worth getting if I'm replacing many parts of it.

AH I didn't realize it had a Rad and I totally forgot about the brakes. What is better about the diff? or do you just mean the gear change?

Then I'd say no. Replacing parts on an optional package you get is like paying twice. Stick with the performance pack or go all aftermarket. People say the performance pack is a good value. That's true. But the aftermarket products will be better for the most part. Plus, you can buy new takeoffs or gently used Brembos for a good price on this forum or on eBay.

It is a Torsen Differential and yes the 3.73's. They don't help with fuel economy, but they make it "feel" a little faster. The stock differential is a clutch style and the Torsen diff is a gear/worm style. Better for left right stuff.

Bigger brakes
Larger radiator
Torsen diff
'Performance orientated' ABS and traction control logic
Stiffer chassis - added bracing

If you plan on tracking the car, or driving the car hard, just those handful of additions make the package very much worth it.

Thanks guys. Sounds like between the diff, rad and breaks it may be worth it.

I spent two months debating this decision. Also weighing in the cost of the full Steeda Suspension that I am putting on. I am happy with my choice.
