←, my real name, honest. At 65, I'm probably one of the older members here. Spent most of the last 43 years as a structural engineer, just not the usual bridges and buildings stuff like you might think. More importantly, I've been a car enthusiast for nearly 10 years longer than that. So far, I've DIY'ed all of my own mods on all the cars I've ever owned, along with most of the maintenance and repair work. Except for a used 1957 Pontiac I briefly owned as a teen, I've managed to never have to own a car that wasn't at least a little more fun to drive than average for its time.

As for pictures of my Mustang, the good ones are the ones other people take of it while I'm too busy driving the whee out of it.

Got nose dive?

Yeah, it's still sitting on the OE springs. The engineer in me won't let me do a mod for appearance reasons only or give up any aspect of performance or handling goodness. It's amazing what you could let yourself in for with only 3/4" lowering, but I'd rather have no regrets than do something hastily and wish I hadn't (been there once or twice).

Welcome Norm! I just joined recently myself. I'm a civil engineer so it cool to meet someone in a similar career field. I like your ride. Are you planning on getting a 2015?

Welcome back at ya.

The '08 is still a lot of fun to drive, even though it's way down on power compared to the later 5.0's. I'm not nearly done tweaking it as far as I want to take it and I'm not going to tweak it just to hand it over to somebody else, so 2015 might be a bit soon for me and what's historically been our buying cycle.
 . . . then again, if you'd asked me if I was going to buy a Mustang at about this time in 2007 I wouldn't have been any more committal than that about getting an S197. But either way, I will be a lot interested in the S550 tech as soon as it becomes more solid than rumors and extrapolations.

Hey all, my name is Jesse, I'm 35 and live in Lafayette, CO. I have been lurking on this site for a while. I was in the market for a GT500, however, I am ready for a change with the current car and am waiting to see what is in store with the 2015.

My family is a Ford family and I grew up with my life revolving around Mustangs. I have an '88 5.0 LX notchback that I got when I was 18 and drove 6 months out of the year(I lived in WI). It was stock, 80k mi car when I got it, and now it has stage III ported aluminum heads, ported Performer RPM intake, custom ground Ultra Dyne cam, and a few other goodies -- it has 375,000 mi now too, so I drove it A LOT, and raced it a lot. I always drove to the track and home, and the car has never been on a trailer.

I lived mostly in WI, then a few years in AZ and Vegas. I finally moved to CO in 2009 and the car went into storage -- it has been there since. I then got out of going fast, and got into Jeeps and offloading/rock crawling when I came out here(would have had an early Bronco, but for half the price I my Wrangler is twice as capable, and I am not beating up a rare vehicle).

I haven't done anything with the Mustang since and I am ready to go fast again. I like my Fox, but I am ready for some new tech too.

No pics of the Mustang on this computer -- but I do have pics of the Jeep. I won't post since no one is coming here to see Jeeps. :)

Anyways, nice site -- there is a lot of great info here.

Welcome aboard Jesse!

Post up pics of your '88 if you can, I'd like to see it. 375K miles ....shows these cars were made to be battle worn.

I am posting from my work laptop which explain lack of pics -- I have some pics on my "garage" computer -- they are old, but I post them up a bit later.

Hi I'm Drew, been a mustang fan since my dad's 81 which is still in my possession, but in need of some hot rodding. Currently drive a 97 malibu, I know, but it gets the job done. Probably will take my brother's 04 STX off his hands since he needs a family man vehicle.

Extremely interested in the new s550, and am probably one of the few that would enjoy and prefer the ecoboost 4 model. That would save me to put a coyote into my 4 eye :D

Hello fello mustang enthusiasts! I've been lurking for months and figure it was about time I joined. I've owned 4 mustangs in the past and plan on getting another soon.
I was able to sneak into the pre-release press event for the GT500 last year and hope Ford brings the S550 to atlanta so I can do it again :D

Hi! My name is Zach, I'm from San Diego, CA. I've been lurking for awhile and decided to finally start commenting.

I grew up around a lot of Mustangs. Back in the mid-70s until the late-80s, my Grandpa ran a Mustang only restoration shop. They worked solely on the first generations, and a lot of cars passed through. He still has a few, which I've been around most of my life. My Mom still has her '67 convertible as well. A couple of my friends have had Mustangs, from '98 to '07s.

My current daily driver is a '12 Ford Focus SE-Sport. It's a highly useful hatchback, and a great little car for getting around. Amazing gas mileage and tons of fun. Tried to keep it simple; just an intake, a header and a cat-back exhaust with a recent tune. Good enough for a few extra horsepower and with the Ford Racing Suspension kit makes for some fun on the back roads.

I also have a track car that I've been slowly building since I got it three years ago. A 1991 Toyota Supra 3.0GT Turbo. It has a fully (re-)built 7M-GTE engine, pushing more than enough power. Lots of money is in the suspension, and drivetrain. I managed to get a hold of a rare bell housing adapter, and so the car is running a 6-speed Getrag transmission from a MK4 Supra. I originally just set out to rebuild the blown engine, then decided to upgrade it a bit as I was working on it and the project just ended up out of hand until I completed what I have now.

My past cars were an '87 Mazda RX-7, a '97 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 and an '05 Honda Civic sedan.

I was planning on picking up a Subaru BRZ until rumors of the new Mustang started circling around. I'm extremely interested in picking up the EcoBoost inline 4 if it actually is released here in the US.

Here you go Thed -- the only pic I have my my garage computer -- come to find out all my pics must be on one of my external hard drives, or not digital(wow, that makes me feel old). But now even I want to look at them, so I must find them.

This is on the way home from the first time I ever took it drag racing (2003 I think) --
