Hey Mustang6g community! My names Hayden, New Zealander living in Australia.
I picked up my first Mustang about 2 weeks ago. So much love for this car.
Was tossing up between a 2018 Focus RS and a Mustang S550... until I drove them both then the choice was very simple.

This is my 2019 GT.
6 speed manual, active exhaust, digital display, 17000kms.
Newest and nicest car iv ever owned.

It came on these 19 inch wheels, but I had the coilovers installed last weekend.
Yesterday I jacked her up and did the chop and change X-pipe install.. was easy.. should have done the coilovers but seemed like a mission without a hoist and I have no idea what im doing... very happy with how the X-pipe sounds anyway. The difference in the exhaust modes is so much more noticeable now! Funny that...

Next up on the list is a cold air intake and basic tune, then ill probably just enjoy it for a while and let my bank account recover
Iv already read a couple of threads here about superchargers..... dreaming for now.
Dad told me to weld the bonnet closed hahaha
As if.

Hi
2022 Mach 1 (Fighter Jet Grey- Premium )owner from Nevada. Always been a muscle car enthusiast. Early years I hit the streets in a 57 Chevy, 64 Plymouth Sport Fury, 1967 Plymouth GTX and 1972 Chevelle SS, and 1973 Mach 1. Always regretted selling the Mach 1. When the opportunity came up to purchase the 2022 Mach 1 I was all over it. What a fun car to drive! Looking forward to help and assist others and learn from others on this forum.

Hello everyone.

Might as well rip the bandaid off. Lifelong GM guy and wanted to purchase my retirement toy. I have owned a C6 corvette and was going to get another but didn't want to deal with all the "corvette" issues and the prices are still stupid high. C7was out for me due to AFM...pretty much most of GM is out for that reason alone.

So I kept an open mind and really wanted certain things:
-performance and not worrying about dropping valves on a 20k dollar NA motor.
-newer and not 11 years old at a minimum.
-comfort...just a little at least.

The search started and what a roller coaster. If someone would have told me I would be in a 5.0 Mustang two years ago I may have fallen off my bar stool laughing. I won't bore you all on all the different directions this went:

First up was a 2013-14 Shelby GT500. I had a co-worker that so graciously borrowed me his 2014 Shelby. Now that is a fun car and I would have probably purchased one had the prices been a little more reasonable for the age.

Then I looked at some 2020-22 Ford Shelby GT500's. Wow. These are truly fun and special cars. Are these vehicles you track one day and then drive 300 miles to grandmas house? Not sure.

I started getting a little frustrated to say the least and then started looking at building my own Mustang. We took some DH and GT Premium cars out.

Then we stumbled across some Roush Stage 3 mustangs that sparked our interest. Did some research and test drives and waited for the right deal. That deal came around this past Friday and hauled it home from out of state back to Colorado.

This is my first Ford vehicle and so far really enjoy it. From all the research I have been doing this was the way to go.

Now to go find some 5W50 oil....don't worry, not going to start yet another thread on that topic.
Welcome to the forum.

Hi guys!

I'm Martin, I'm from France. I just bought my mustang a week ago, a GT PP '15 manual with 35k miles, with a K&N CAI and a magnaflow catback. Two days later I dropped it with springs and added a set of spacers, no need to do anything more I guess! Two days later too, she also showed a CEL for P0175 confirmed and P0172 pending, I'll see that sorted out soon hopefully (thanks for what I already red on this forum to help!).

First time with an american car, always had japanese ones. Had an Impreza GT '00, MR2 mk2 rev 5, integra DC5, BNR33 GTR N1, and in the end my last japanese car that I sold two years ago, a '01 RX7 FD3S with 20k miles that I imported from Japan. That car was showroom condition.

Wanted something modern with a cool engine, manual gearbox, and RWD or AWD that I can drive everyday. Crazy that the coolest one would be the S550 in my budget. Only M4/M5 can somehow match, but bimmer tax, and can you really compare the coyote to a turbo inline-6?

I knew the Mustang well for having rented one when I visited friends in CA, and it's every bit what I wanted it to be (except the CEL ofc XD).

I was always active on forums when I had japanese cars, and I definetely would like to participate here as well if you'll have me!

Thanks!

(hereunder the S550 and the Mazda, for those who like these too.)

Been lurking on here for long enough - from southern Ontario. Picked my my 2017 GT in August, and couldn't be happier. I'm the second owner and she came with all the work already done on her for me by a guy that babied it, really not much I want do change on it, but thinking Rokblokz for the fronts to save me from any more pelting of rocks to the rear, a top tint strip for the front window, and maybe some black Gorilla locking lugs.

Newbie here. Wife has always wanted a Mustang. My friend group in high school was all Mustang guys, and I still remember cruising around town with them on the weekends, but I never had one. Until now. Little late to the party, but picked up a 2021 GT Premium in Antimatter Blue with the black accent package on Saturday. 31,600 miles. First time buying a car sight unseen, and Carvana doesn't tell you if it has modifications. It has a Borla exhaust (not sure which one exactly) and a few other things. It's in for inspection on Friday, so hope to have them give it a thorough lookover and see if they can tell me the exact modifications. First time ever having a second car for "fun". We're loving it so far.. I'm not very savvy when it comes to modifications, which is why I need someone to tell me what exactly has been done to it. But excited to join this community and learn as much as I can.

Hi Guys
I got this 4 weeks ago after a bit of searching.

mustang on drive.jpg

It has only done 16k miles and is 10 speed with Brembo brakes and the B&O Stereo.
In 4 weeks I have already done over 1000 miles and today I had to pick the Step daughter up with all her belongings as she moving out of her flat, its amazing how much you can get in one.
I am planning on it being my daily.
My first upgrade will be some better interior lights.
Question is the gear selector not illuminated ? Every other Auto I have driven usually has the letters illuminated .

New (to me) 2022 Ecoboost Premium! Who buys a Mustang in winter? lol

I test drove a manual GT and even a manual Ecoboost. Realized this is more of a cruiser than a sports car (at the price point I was aiming at) and I'd be faster with the 10speed. Also, I live driving a manual, but I live in a city, so I knew this is going to get old quickly. Last but not least, I could get a premium at the same budget and I don't regret the larger screen or the heated seats.

Bought it from Hertz (yes the rental car guys) because they are cheap. 63k miles. Comes with a 12 months powertrain warranty. That was a good experience (I bought from them before). I had it inspected before I bought it and it was well maintained. Not a fancy dealership but I saved a lot of money.

I don't have any immediate plans to mod it, eventually I think I will want more grip (wider tires and better all seasons) especially in the rain. The speakers are definitely garbage.

My name is Dave, and I live in Pensacola, Florida.

I have a 2020 GT Premium PP1 that I purchased new in February 2020.

The only changes I have made are window tint and staggered 20” wheels/Michelins. Today it needed a brake job, so it got drilled and slotted rotors with ceramic pads.

My Daily is a 2023 F150 Lariat Powerboost.

Nice rides, the BAP looks great on that F-150.

Happy Wednesday! My name is Mike, Just bought this in Baton Rouge. 2019 Mustang GT PP1, <50k miles. It's got at least a roush active axleback and CAI. I can't see the mid from the ground and I can't jack it up on my gravel driveway. Six-speed, I haven't dug in the center console to see what shifter is in it, not sure but it's got the push down reverse lockout which isn't stock as far as I know.

I'm coming from a Subaru WRX with about 400whp, I know nothing of muscle cars or rear wheel drive. Moved here from Seattle and Connecticut before that so I've never not needed a winter driver with all wheel drive. Never posted to a forum before, but I've been reading pretty heavy the last two weeks.
