Actually the PP2 tune wants the GT350 manifold. That turns it into the PP3 tune. No real differences in the programming between 2 and 3, just the manifold. As long as you use the stock 80mm TB with the adapter. Don't use the 87mm GT350 TB
Any data to support this? Speaking with Ford performance the told me this was a no-no.... shocking I know

WIll it work with the Powerpack 2 tune i currently have on the car?
A change in manifold warrants a tune. I have asked tuners about this, and I highly recommend you ignore @K4fxd and opt for a tune. The GT350 manifold can utilize IMRC, and discrepancies in the calibration can lock IMRC’s shut, creating more issues. If you get a manifold, get the correct tune for it. You can also lock IMRC’s open, which some tuners prefer and removes the possibility of any IMRC failures in the future.

I've got copies of both, the FRPP 2 and 3 tunes. The only difference is the throttle body programming.

I have the GT350 IM on a 17 with the stock TB with the VMP adapter.

I used the factory stock tune first. It drove fine couldn't tell it had a new mani. Then I flashed the PP2 tune and had the same result only it ran better and reved higher.

I have since tweaked the tune to what my car likes.

Have you done any actual tuning?

The IMRC which really are Charge Motion Control valves work exactly the same as the 15 to 17 manifold.

On a gen 2 coyote no tune is required for a swap to the GT350 IM.

A tune will bring out the best of the manifold by increasing the RPM limit and adding spark timing, which his PP2 tune does.

Lol I’ll leave it to the professionals. Also, if you’re just swapping a GT350 manifold and not tuning it what’s the Point? You’re just wasting money and may as well get a stock manifold.

If you want the cheapest option I have a used 2015 manifold. $100 + you pay for shipping.

It is missing some vacuum lines but you will be able to transfer those from your old manifold, and I’ll tel you how to do it.

It has 95-100k ish miles but it was working great when I took it off. Clean it and replace the gaskets and it will work fine.

If you are planning on future mods then I suggest picking up a ported 350 or ported 18+ intake and a tune, but as you have seen it is expensive. If you want to keep the car stock tho, for around $150 you can have my manifold and new gaskets and a working car.

wazslow hooked me up with a low mileage manifold to fix my believed issue. It will hold me over until A find out it's a different issue or feel the need for more power. I appreciate everyone's responsiveness! it is good to see I picked a good car community.

Not many "pro's" are going to shoot down a sale.

You keep missing he already has a tune that is designed for the GT350 manifold.

The other thing you are missing is the Mustang coyote engine is MAF not SD. MAF compensates for increased air, and the coyote has a large window of self adjustment. So much so that Ford did nothing to the tune for the GT350 IM.

Since the 2 gen mani is discontinued I wonder what the ESP warranty program replaces it with?

This is somewhat wrong. Although I'm not saying he can't run the gt350 manifold with the power pack 2 tune. I know some people on here are doing that. It's not ideal in my opinion.

The only reason you want to use the 80mm over the 87 is because you don't have a true oem ford pp2 flashed tune. You don't have the other tables that are different then the stock tune.

If he has the power pack 2 already then he just needs the manifold and a tune. He can use hp tuners and 2 credits. He can take the pp2 tune file and with the stock pp3 file he can copy differences and put them over his pp2 file and have the pp3 tune.

You are right. I forgot the PP2 uses the 87mm TB.

The rest of what I said is true.

Thanks for the clarification.

Also there are several differences between the pp2 and pp3 file. Here is a list of some of the differences. This is for the automatic transmission

Just pulled up both tunes. The only differences are in SD the manifold volume is changed.

Temperature based RPM limit is changed, some torque limits have been raised and trans RPM limits have been raised.

Nothing critical to the running of the engine.

Yep.. he also thinks fuel trimming out at 30% is fine too. Cause the PCM will "compensate". 15-17 / 18+ / GT350 manifolds have significant volume differences, & runner lengths which absolutely require a tune.
