This might be me... and might be trivial. Whatever we all have our petpeves.

But nothing turns me off more to a sellers site than an obnoxious game of whack a mole with their dreadful pop ups/pop outs/slide ins/bubbles That clutter up my screen....

*The ones that manage to slide in, or pop up just as your about to tap something. Then you accidentally tap it. And fk...

*The same offer that just repeats its self no matter how many times you click the X

*Slide ups of a !SUPRISE! Offer this time... in red...must be urgent! Nope just the same offer i was showed when I first landed on the site.

*The Giant Chat bubble that will also interrupt you at a random point.

*They always place an X just ever so obscure behind the chat box for some other spam....you try to hit the X...and the chat window pops up again.

Beefcake isnt the worst. But it sucks they were my favorite site to shop. I loved how I could just easy scroll through all the products in no particular order. Without being hassled by some spam gremlins.

Instead of looking at what I want..I'm fighting off spam.

Or the ones that make you put something in the cart to find a price and then hound you for weeks with "Did you forget something?" emails.
No, I didn't forget anything! I decided your BS wasn't worth the fking effort. Leave me alone!

The thing I hate the most is when these online retailers advertise a sale that isn't a sale. Instead, they display an original price that is higher than it normally is and the "sale price" is their normal price. A very popular seller of Mustang parts does this and I stopped paying attention to their "sale" ads.

Yep, went looking for a supercharger kit during the labor day sale. After 4 popups. I decided I didn't need a supercharger. If I do decide again, I'll just get an ess. Their site is way less hassle than beefcakes.

Honestly, it’s virtually every website these days. Pop-up chat boxes, ads, offers, enter your email, phone, DNA sample, first born to get 5% off your next purchase of $10k or more but only after you spend $15k on your first purchase (I exaggerate but you get the idea), etc. It’s annoying but unfortunately it’s part of the digital landscape these days.

Hmmm, I don't get that many ads here. Not on the regular anyway.

While there's truth in that, we don't have to shop with them. Threads like this should serve a heads-up for advertisers to decide if the lost goodwill is worth it.
