I just bought a 2020 mustang gt with a Paxton 2200sl blower (beefcake racing set up). Does anyone know if the IMRC port has to be capped? There’s another port on the back of the manifold as well that is open. I’ll post the picture. I’m not sure if they would cause a vacuum leak.

Plug them all (front and back) to prevent a vacuum leak. You’ll also need to have the IMRCs turned off in your tune.

I reached out to beefcake and he said it doesn’t necessarily cause a vacuum leak but can cap em if desired. I just got the car so I’m still trying to find out what’s all done to it. I’m not sure yet if it has IMRC lockouts but the bulk of the actuators and hoses aren’t there, so I’ll check and install some if it needs. Thanks for the input

Take a look at the back and you should be able to see if they’re locked out. Some people buy the lockout kits (aluminum or plastic) and some use zip ties to save money. With all of your diaphragms and actuators missing, it’s a good chance they’ve been locked out already.

Looks like they zip tied them, but I’ll get plates later. I also noticed the tubing from the brake booster to the intake manifold is leaking a bit as well. What size tube can I use to replace it 3/8?

You can trim off and clean up the end of the hose on the 90* fitting at the front of the intake and use ear clamps there and on the opposite end of that hose. You can get this kit to knock it right out.

It will not cause an air leak having it open. It’s just a straight though port - I routed my evap line through there to clean up the engine bay a little bit. I’d plug it just so it doesn’t accumulate debris.

I tried but the line split on the inside from trying to force the elbow into it. Could I just run the line straight to the intake manifold nipple without the elbow?
It sounds like the line is made of the wrong material. I suggest taking the existing line to your local auto parts store and asking them to purchase a section of vacuum line of the same diameter. Trim the new line down to the desired length, reuse the elbow and ear clamp the line onto the elbow and hard line.

Recommendations on the type of hose?
