hey guys I have read many posts but I can't find a consistent anwser! I came from lifted trucks with loud exhaust and the drone drives me crazy!! I want to have a louder than stock exhaust buy w/o all the rasp at WOT. I love a real deep exhaust but watching videos it's hard to tell. so I would like to see what yall recommend for not only brand but type of exhaust. should I go cat back, axel, h pipe, xpipe.... I'm on a budget but would like to get away from stock! I have a gt pp. GOOO!!!

I went with the stainless MBRP street and there is very very little drone. Very similar to what I remember stock being like. When you first put the MBRP on it is kind of raspy, but with time, it has gone from raspy to a quite deep rumble. I absolutely love it for what I paid. I almost went with the X-pipe replacement from Ford, but figured I could spend a little more and get the full catback. I love how the big tips look in the bumper. My main reason was money too, I didn't want to spend $1500 on exhaust no matter who makes it. For about a third of that I got MBRP stainless street and get compliements everywhere on how it sounds.

Come on down to Columbia and you can hear it before you buy!

Everyone swears that the stainless works catback system is the deepest, and I think it is, but I think the drone on these must be horrible. Everyone buys them and says the sound awesome but the drone is "a little too much for me".
I'd try ARHs catback. I went with that over the stainless works one. It's deep as hell but at highway speeds it's still pretty much drone free. Loud at WOT, looks nice, great quality company. I'd look in to them.

I went with MagnaFlow Street, good sound and no drone. I can still hear the exhaust at 60-70, but it is exhaust sound not drone. If you have some local meets, might be a good way to get first hand experience.

A friend has the resonator delete/stock mufflers, decent sound and no drone. If you are on a budget, this is likely the best bang for your buck.

I have H-pipe pics in my album. With the windows up, you can easily have a conversation as it is really quiet unless you're on the gas.

Here's a crappy short video of how mine sounds.

I like the resonator delete option best for right now with a low budget. from what I can tell it will also alow me to do an aftermarket axel back system down the road. Last question! xpipe or h pipe

btw I appreciate the responses

coming from someone who spent the 600 on a MBRP race system: Buy a different exhaust then this. the Ford Racing Sport catback is great. no drone. not loud until you get on it. If you want loud, and great sound, go with CORSA.
the MBRP is good for the money you spend on it. BUT it drones, it is loud, and scares children.
Just my two cents.

just saw your reply.

depends on what sound you want. Want a good higher pitched euro sound? go with X pipe, or Corsa double Xpipe.
want a deep rumbling muscle car tone? go with an H pipe.

Borla and Corsa are No drone systems. If you have never experienced them, you need to find someone with one of them and drive it. Compared to all the other exhausts and hack job attempts on the stock system, you won't find any equal.
