Hmmm....so solely wanting what is best for your wife. That's your story and your sticking to it, right?

Of course she'll never think..."So what you are saying is that you don't want me to drive your Mach 1 anymore, right?" Silence follows, and then slight digs from time to time may appear in conversation, emphasizing "your car versus my car"....in a wonderfully positive tone of course.

Hopefully your wife loves the really beautiful car you got her.

She actually teared up! It's been a tough few months, actually year for her and I! We had to put both our dogs down due to heart problems and some really shitty family legal woes concerning her 91 year old mother that is declining in health. Happy things are a good thing!!!! I bought her a C-Class Benz when we first married in 2001. She's been driving that car and refusing to get a new car since! It has over 250K miles and going strong!
I left the Benz world a year ago after 20+ years when I first saw the MACh1. I will NEVER say a bad thing about Benz's as I've owned 2 AMG's and along with my wife's C-Class they have been to most trouble-free cars I've ever owned! I just saw the writing on the wall.....V8 cars with manual transmissions are going to soon be extinct!
