My GT rolled off the assembly line the day before Thanksgiving and doesn't have any build quality issues that I've been able to detect. It has 2,800 miles so far.

My car was built 1/19/15 and I've yet to find any panel alignment issues or other problems at all. My car is also a PP car which some have been reporting has brake squeeling issues but my brakes are as silent as can be.

1. Brake Squeal
2. Gap where rear panel meets bumper (passenger side)
3. Paint job has a few issues (not smooth on a couple areas)
4. Manual transmission THUD noise and some 1-2 shift grinding (not all the time)

Mine was $2k, but this was back in September 14'.

*edit*

I'm 6k miles in... Mine's an early build (Oct 14') and I was quite unlucky.

1) Body misalignments: Front driver side, rear driver side, driver side door, trunk, and back glass.
2) Engine/car vibration: On the steering wheel, pedals, floor, shifter, and brake handle. My hands get pretty tired after 30 min of driving my car.
3) High-pitch Turbo noise.
4) Jerky automatic transmission (from 1st to 2nd, or 2nd to 1st). Makes traffic unbearable.
5) Interior Rattling in the front (aluminum piece), and back (seat belt plastic, and side).
6) Rubber: Passanger side needs to be replaced. Trunk's weather strip is falling off.

Car didn't have any of the engine, transmission, turbo or interior rattling problems when I bought it.
Woah, have you went to Ford to see what they'll do to fix it? When my car comes in, I won't be happy if there's something wrong with it. I'm spending around 34k, so that car better be pristine.

Mine is flawless so far with the exception of a minor thud when shifting (manual) which seems to be going away with miles.

Body panels and paint are perfect. I went over this car with a fine tooth comb after reading some of the things on here. No noises either. Its still new though, so we will see how it goes as the miles begin to rack up. This is my first time purchasing first MY, but I fell in love on the test drive.

Always keep in mind that when people have problems/issues/concerns, they tend to post about them. People don't generally get on forums and make a post to say all is well or how good it is.

I however did not order mine, I purchased one right off the dealer lot. No markup and got a $500 rebate. Had 27 miles on it, now at about 750. I decided to look on the lots for what I was looking for. This way I was able to look it over and drive it prior to purchasing it. It had ever thing I wanted/didn't want. So it worked out in my case.

In general, a Audi is going have better fit and finish. It's just the nature of a high end euro car vs a domestic pony car (majority of the time).

Mine was built 12/14.

I'm still looking at people post pics of their brand new mustang and I'm seeing mis-alignments. People don't realize until you point it out. It seems pretty widespread in my opinion.

No, it really isn't. I've seen myself spread across 3 different forums maybe 20-30 different cars with some kind of panel misaligment. More than half of them were a quick in and out of the body shop to adjust the hood stops, and the other half actually had to have some kind of work done. Thats 30 cars out of around 40,000 sold in the US so far. Thats no where near widespread. We are only hearing from the people with issues, just like with every new car release ever. If you go look at Subaru forums you would be scared half to death with engine failure threads left and right, when it reality only a very small percentage of them fail, but every single one that fails ends up on the internet...

No disrespect at all...So, do you really think those are the ONLY cars that have been taken back for "issues?"....the ones you find on some sight? IN all of the 50 states??

I doubt that. There's been more than that in one area of some states.
A person normally doesn't jump on a web sight to report their issues. They work on getting them fixed and move on.
Of course not, but I haven't seen enough examples to call the issues "widespread" like the commentor before me. Like I said, the way the internet works these days we are going to see a ton of the cars with issues posted on forums etc, where as we pretty much won't ever see the other 39,000+ posting about their perfect cars. It happens on every car forum ever. I've personally seen about 20 cars out in the wild, not one of them had a single panel alignment issue, so when someone calls the issues widespread I can't help but think they are referencing the 20 or 30 examples they saw on the internet and not the actual real world.

Unfortunately, that's not my case. Although I don't have my car yet and have been following this thread and reading about the problems by various members here, I went to many dealers in my area and recently to the NE International Car Expo and saw both Mustang's at the show had body misalignment issues :( Very discouraging.

All I can say is: They better not pull stunts like that on the European cars ... :tsk:
Bad press will ensue.
