Haven't been able to take the care out for a few weeks due to the weather. Today while out and about I noticed on hard acceleration the nose dips down on hard acceleration in between shifts. It has happened before but don't think the car does it every time.

Whats the best way to prevent this? Slower release of the clutch? Slower to get back on the gas? Faster shifting between gears? Or is it just what it is?

It is what it is outside of lowering the car with springs and upgrading to stiffer struts and shocks.

The natural effect of removing power to the rear wheels would be a drop in the front of the car. It would be more dramatic if the foot came off the gas before the clutch disconnected the engine from the differential.

Adjustable shocks and struts can mitigate the first effect to some degree; better gas/clutch coordination should eliminate the second.

More rear brake helped my car. I upgraded the brakes including the rears and it had a profound affect.

Shifting faster will reduce it as there will be less time that there’s a dip in power to the wheels.

Different suspension tuning can reduce this as well, but primarily by reducing the rear end squatting in the first place, keeping the nose more level.

Re

Rear brake? On hard acceleration? WTF?
Yeah, I think he's getting confused with nose dive under braking.

OP - just install an automatic trans. :p

Magneride, PP2, stiffer springs and shocks all help improve body control. Or if you buy a car that's lighter and lower to ground like a Corvette. I really liked my GT350 for great control of body motion. The nose still comes up under acceleration though. I've noticed that the nose on my C5 barely lifts at all. But there are other things I don't like as much about it.

OP has PP2.

OP, is your car boosted?

Best way to fix this issue is power shifting into gear to carry momentum onward instead of letting gravity work against you.

stiffer rear springs, or get the front shocks tuned for a longer dwell time. Since you have magnaride it may not be too hard. or could be very hard.

what suspension setting were you in at the time? I am pretty sure the road setting is pretty soft, the track setting should not have much issue with nose rise and dive.

I was in Normal at the time. Perhaps that might be my perception issues as I don't recall the car being so dramatic previously. I'll have to explore the other settings and take note.
