You keep saying this and ignore the facts presented on Ford's own website. This is not an FRPP/Ford Racing warranty. Check the quote, go read the press release.

It may not be for everyone, but for someone like me that wants to keep the warranty, then it works out perfectly.
Ford-backed and factory warranty aren't necessarily the same thing. But I won't argue anymore, it's your money and your car.

EDIT: Plus it wouldn't be the first time that the PR guys didn't get something right in a Press Release.

Precisely. "Ford-backed" does not equal Ford factory warranty. It is an issue of semantics but it is subtle enough. A FRPP warranty is also "Ford-backed."

I am an attorney, and this is nothing but double talk. When it says it retains your full factory 3-36 and 5-60 powertrain warranty, then it is clear.

The warranty is backed by Ford..you never get a warranty that is backed by the factory. Factory warranty just implies an original warranty from manufacturing backed by Ford.
When you are speaking of contracts, you look for clear language....not implied terms.

'Retains your Ford 3-36 and 5-60 warranties" is the language you want to hear. What you really want to hear is "original manufacturer's warranty." A "Ford backed" warranty could very easily be the FRPP warranty, just like every other ProCal Ford has offered in the past. It was the same story with the Coyote and the same arguments were presented. In the end, it was an FRPP "Ford backed" warranty.

Either way its warrantied and others aren't so that alone adds major value regardless of who backs it. What kind of terms did previous FRPP warranties have? I doubt the tune will be disappointing. They can easily add 90lb-ft of torque to this car and that would make it feel totally different

i have a base automatic EB... if i were to tune my car, would i still feel differences in power when I switch in between drive mode and sport mode?

Are you talking about the steering wheel feel modes? If so yes. The tune will increase hp and torque not change the sport, comfort, standards modes you choose

actually no, on the automatic transmission you can shift into park, reverse, neutral, drive and sport. drive has a mild boost/throttle response while throwing it into sport is much better for stepping on it.
Ohhh I was thinking you only shift it into S mode if you want to use the paddle shifters. So that's why the toggle switches include Normal, SPORT PLUS, Track and Snow/Wet.

I don't think its a difference in power when you shift from D to S. I think it's just a change in throttle response which makes it seem like more power.

Well I'm curious also. I know most of the tunes change the regular throttle response so I would think only D would get changed and the throttle response will be better then S or both would be changed and the throttle response would be the same.

S mode usually is just keeps a higher RPM from my experience which in turn feels like more power...it's like manual guys keeping the car in a lower gear

A tune changes the whole engine calibration no matter if you are in s or d.

You will feel better performance in D and in S mode with a tune
