For those having issues with pipes coming off look into buying some T-bolt clamps. The factory worm gear clamps dont work that well and can easily be stripped.

It depends what the tune changes. Ford's software targets torque and adjusts parameters to achieve the targets. That's why boost changes significantly with weather on a stock tune. That can be changed.

Cobb's map notes says, "Up to ~23.0psi tapering to ~19.5psi by redline. (+/- 3psi)." So I guess those numbers would be within spec depending on the targets the ECU was trying to achieve.

My tune maxes out at 23-25. Guess it depends on the temp. I have a log on my phone I can email to somebody so they can upload it.

That's a bit concerning...

Hey Cobb guys, can you clarify? Are you really seeing cars hit 26 psi or is that just a factor of safety you included?

For what's it's worth, my Cobb tune stayed around 21-22 with the occasional and very brief spike to 23. I never saw anything more than that though.

My car hit 25.5 when I did a 1/4 mile run.

We typically see these types of spikes on the AT cars as they attempt to compensate for shifting losses by adding TIP for the expected pressure delta between gears. Since we record the "peak" value for display on the AP3 you'll often see higher values than what is run during the coarse of a single gear pull. If you datalog the vehicle in a single gear I'd imagine you'd see closer to the advertised pressures, and a multi-gear pull would have these spikes in between shifts.

Cheers,

Hey Braden, is there a list somewhere that gives the full name and description of the different parameters you can log, e.g. TIP Desired Abs? I've been looking around, but I haven't found anything yet. TIA!
