That is true but can you not see my point about new people joining every day and asking the same question? That clogs up the board in a hurry.

And I am not singling you out, you are not the first/only one that does it.

There were some interesting point made and data shared so it was worth it....I guess, lol.

Ya tis the problem of using message boards I guess. In this case I wanted to ask based on a path I plan to take to upgrade my car. Also with such a new engine tunes are getting better over time so I want current data. Yes I could have searched to get an idea but when spending this kind of money and taking a chance with mods I want to ask in my own thread. Nice thing about a computer is when things like this bother you you can simply leave or scroll by :)

I'm looking for a company that will update my tune as I get new bolt on Mods. I had Bama on my 2006 and they offered free updates as long as I owned the car. I also want to get good gains without putting too much stress on my internals as this will be on my daily driver and not used on a track. When I got the tune on my 2006 it was night and day different and that seems to be even more the case with the ecoboost. What other features can I get with a tune from cobb vs one from say sct? Seems lots has changed since I last did this.
My E Tune will support stock to bolt-ons and you will receive calibrations as needed with your car and the additional mods. The only additional mod that is currently not covered in our etune is an upgraded turbo. As you update your modifications I am happy to provide additional tunes.

Where to purchase: http://www.riptuning.com/2015-Tuning-s/1838.htm

Enter code MUSTANG6G and receive $50 off the price of a tune through June.

What is frustrating to me is that I wish there was a definitive answer as to the "safe" power limit of this engine for a daily driver, who won't see the track ,(ever) but can have fun, spirited, driving on backroads and highways? I know it's a new platform and takes time to figure it out, but it's confusing when one tuner says that 300/400 is not good for a DD, and there are some that are at those numbers or above. I'm also used to high performance V8's and knowing where the limits are or knowing that I won't need to exceed the limits of the stock motor. All of this stuff is why I have decided to wait and see how things proceed and decide if I will need to stick with my V8's.

I am in no way bashing any said tuner. I have actually learned a good amount of knowledge concerning turbo 4 motors and this new Ecoboost engine. It has definitely been a learning curve for me. Keep all the informative results coming, as I continue to struggle with my decisions.

Me too. I want V8 power w/ 4 cyl mpgs since I intend to do a lot of road trips in the foreseeable future. My current Tacoma and interstate speeds don't mix. I am really enjoying the development and learning curve of the EB.

If Ford introduces a DI Coyote variant w/ 10 speed, my choice would be made...but I'm not holding my breath.

As for safe/reliable, that will come w/ time. Just have to be patient.

You could just not click the thread

Look at all the neat stuff we just learned about Cobb because of this post.

Exactly. There's always a chance a new idea will pop into a new thread with an old topic. A lot of those original threads go off topic for pages and pages.

If you're telling someone to search at least post a link to a thread. I guess some ppl are so smart they just get so exasperated if they have to repeat themselves!

I would say 380/300 is a safe limit from what I have seen. Especially if it is someones daily driver. Will you get away with 400 or 420, probably. Is it worth the risk for someone to daily drive? Not in my book.

I was actually thinking the same thing. When I first posted I said I wouldn't go with COBB because I had bad information now I'm seriously considering going with COBB and MAP or BAMA and sct as my top two choices. Really hard decision BTW... All the information I learned about COBB is very impressive. Didn't know about on the fly tune changing or that you could get custom tunes on COBB. Lots of great resources on the forum which is great!!!

I just bought an Accessport from MAP. The thing is like everyone has said...look at who is the tuner rather than what tuner (product) it is. However, from what I've seen on here , you'll get the best of both worlds with MAP/Cobb combo. Can't wait to get mine in and get it all going!

I think both Bama and Map will have great customer service. I had a great experience with Bama when I had my 2006 and I purchased a tune from them. With this car I'm a bit more worried about longevity as these tunes increase boost so more pressure on internals. I want extra power yet safe for my daily driver. Wish both wrote tunes for COBB because I would just get both then :)
