For a 23 year old, that's an absolute steal. At 23 I was driving a ten year old Taurus with no collision coverage and paying over $300 a month with no accidents or tickets on my record.

I have Geico and that is how much I pay for 2 cars with full coverage and 500 deductible. At 23 I was paying $250/month for 1 car. I am 34 now.

Yep. Back when my parents had StateFarm, StateFarm refused to pay, then canceled their insurance. Geico pays without an issue.

Oh, and 33, one speeding ticket three years ago, one accident nine years ago (my fault, hit a parked car while putting on my seat belt in a parking lot), could pay $113 for minimum coverage, am paying $140ish because I wanted to max out the $1 million / $5 million liability since I don't want somebody going after my retirement accounts if I get in an accident with them.

At 23 thats pretty damn good.

I just got a quote from Geico for $98/month, thats the lowest I have been able to find. My current provider, AAA was at $140/month and everyone else was upwards of $200/month.

For reference I'm 29 years old with no violations on my record (thank you traffic school).

Shop around, if you get a better quote you can call your existing carrier. Most times I find they can reduce your rate to keep you as a customer.

It is hard to compare costs, as it varies state to state, by age, driving record, etc. I used to have GEICO, switched to USAA, and currently am with Electric Insurance as they were able to beat USAA on rates.

Go figure. I've had State Farm for over 20 years and never had any problems with them on a few small claims. Could be having multiple policies helps as well as my family being with them since before I was born.

Right now $447 for 6 months coverage. 500 deductible. Works out to be about $894 a year for full coverage.
