I’d go listen to clips and make sure that’s what you want. Flowmaster sounded good on my 3V, but every one I’ve heard on an S550 sounded not so great.

Local shop charged 60 in labor to swap out my dads mufflers (plus parts)

I had 10 series 1-chambers on my ‘13. It was absolutely horrendous with cat deletes. They sound good on every pushrod v8 I’ve had, but no good at all on the Coyote.

I’ve got a couple videos from back then on YouTube but it’s hard to tell how much they sounded like glasspacks.

Just put an H pipe on. About as close to the old Flo sound you will get on these cars. Factory muffler and an H-pipe sounds pretty good. Also lose about 20 pounds.

This is active exhaust but there is a non active video out there.
I put on a set of active mufflers (set full open to “track mode” and a Magnaflow Tru-x resonated X pipe. Sounds pretty killer and not too loud. Lots of low end and the raspiness is gone. Plus, zero drone.

I was debating an H pipe, but worried it would be too loud.

Beware the drone associated with Flowmaster setups on the Coyote, nicknamd Dronemaster for a reason.

If you want a good, rich tone that doesn't drone and isn't too loud, get Borla S types, IMO.

I love Corsa systems for their amazing note, but not everyone wants the more 'racy' tone and prefers more of the deep rumble. Either way, the Coyote is not going to sound like that compared to a 4.6.

Flowmasters were relevant back in the 90's and early 2000's. Not so much now. They sound good on trucks. That's about it.

The problem with Flowmasters is that they have no room to expand the sound waves because they are placed at the end of the exhaust. That is what gives you the metallic rasp that makes the Coyote not sound so great.

If you listen to these two videos, you can see they have more of the classic flowmaster sound if installed where the resonator was.

I still love my Krona even though it took an eternity to get.
