Yeah, but it’s more fun than discussing that “other” Mustang. :giggle:
True. But I also refuse to take part in the "E" Disgu-Stang threads!

Ok, so.the gyst is Im guessing is the stock 331 gears and 700hp will do the trick?
The 14vshelby has a gurney flap for downforce at high speeds.may need one if those too.

It was either motor trend or car and driver. That got a stock Hellcat to 200. That’s a big heavy car. So I’m going out on a limb. And say you’d need a little less than 650whp to do it.

This is a good tool for calculating mph, using all of the relevant factors like rpm, gearing, and tire height. I went 190mph in the half mile, roughly 1200whp, 15GT, not something I’d advise doing anywhere except 1/2 mile and 1 mile events.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned upgrading a few things before attempting 200 mph in a GT. Personally, I'd get an aftermarket drive shaft (aluminum or carbon fiber 1-piece) and a W or Y speed rated tire.

Hopefully no one is stupid enough to try 200 mph on some generic cheap all-seasons... What a disaster.
