How common are bent endlinks?

People bend them quite often. I deal with it just about every week.

We bent a set almost instantly on one of our PP cars - and this is why our adjustable end links were one of the very first parts we released for the S550 Mustangs, almost 2 years ago.

We released adjustable bar end-link well before any other company, and were the first to utilize a high-strength ball joint with a grease fitting. :cheers:

Now I have BMR links and sways.

TBH I can't see how they expect those toothpicks to last, lol.

IKR! When I first saw them I thought WTF! I didn't even look close to see if mine are bent, I just went straight to Steeda and got them, not even going to risk it.

Alright, well I checked mine while swapping to the autox wheels, and both my front bars are bent too. Good times.

I have a question regarding the end links, the 2 prevailing choices are the BMR & Steeda ones on the forum. One of which has looks to have an aluminum body, looks GREAT, but my concern is galvanic corrosion. sure you can apply anti-seize to the threads but that can fail too.

These are solid. Thats why they are on all 1st place cars. :ford:

After taking a look at the stock endlinks recently, I decided I don't even want to take the chance. The Steeda adjustable endlinks look fantastic! Very beefy, adjustable, grease fittings and no noise like you get from rod end units.

How common is it to have an endlink bend or fail when using an aftermarket sway bar? I am curious because I have a Ford Racing Sway bar kit in the garage that I would like to install, but was wondering if it is ok to use with the stock components?

I would call Kelly at BMR. They make most of their parts unlike most vendors. BMR is some of the best customer service I have experienced in years. Plus they are always having sales.

guess this is more common on this car than i thought, has anyone noticed any degradation of handling and steering feel when the endlinks get bent? crapy design from Ford i guess

Mine haven't bent, multiple track days, drag strip, and autox. Not common but if you have the money, might as well do it while you're in there. I have the Steeda links which are beefy as sin and I wanted to adjust pre-load out of the bar with my weight in the car. Clue: look at the nuts.
