How common is it to have an endlink bend or fail when using an aftermarket sway bar? I am curious because I have a Ford Racing Sway bar kit in the garage that I would like to install, but was wondering if it is ok to use with the stock components?

I have had the Ford racing sway bars for the past 10k miles and I just recently did pp springs and shocks and there was nothing wrong with my stock sway bar end links

i highly doubt youll bend the end links unless your doing some insane cornering on a track. for the street the originals are perfectly fine. most aftermarket links make noise i never had good results with them on any of my cars

It's actually very common.

If you are going higher than stock bar rates, then I highly recommend them.

I haven't seen a single post where someone had that issue since I've been on here. I guess if you had some grippy tires and were running it on the track regularly I can see it being more of an issue

Here ya go. Both of my fronts were bent. Running Steeda bars with Steeda linear sport springs on stock PP dampers. Replaced the stock endlinks with BMR adjustables. They are adjustable preload and have greaseable ball joints.

After taking a look at the stock endlinks recently, I decided I don't even want to take the chance. The Steeda adjustable endlinks look fantastic! Very beefy, adjustable, grease fittings and no noise like you get from rod end units.

Thanks first I've seen of it. But then you also do HPDE. What setting do you run your sways on?

Also did you swap out the rear links too?

Fronts, I run my sway bars in the center hole. I did not swap out the rears as they were not bent. It would take some serious stress to bend the rears since they are really short. The fronts are considerably longer endlinks with more weight on them therefore more leverage as I see it, plus a 285/35 tire up front. Hence the rainbow shape.

They're not bent, they're self adjusting!

Steeda S550 Mustang Adjustable Swaybar Endlinks

The adjustment body is constructed from lightweight aerospace grade aluminum and is corrosion resistant.

End links feature case hardened ball studs that feature significantly increased swing area compared to spherical rod ends. Includes locking hardware for installation.

Steeda designers, engineers, manufactures parts right here in the U.S.A. ... you won't be disappointed.

Best Regards,

TJ

Maybe because they don't post about it. Mine bent and immediately purchased the BMRs. I can't bend the BMRs and I have tried. :)
