Where to start? Mine EB w/PP, manual, daily driver...I am absolutely blown away with just about everything with this car. Just a delight to drive. I can't believe a 4 cylinder generates the hp and torque needed to make 3700 lbs. feel so muck lighter...and does it with ease, never really feeling or sounding like its working that hard to do it. (can't wait to put a tune on it). Tickled pink with the stock EB, and the after market potential has me drooling with anticipation.:headbang:
100% Agree. By the way, where do you live in Maryland? I'm in Baltimore.

The FR-S would have been the ultimate sub $30K car if it had the EB engine lol

Nick C.

OMG yes it would! if I win the lottery that is a swap that I will make happen!

I've had my EB for a few hours and put 9 miles on it. I find it sufficient thus far.

My Ecoboost with PP and automatic has exceeded my expectations. It's the perfect daily driver for me. I'd sure love a GT but it's totally impractical for me as a dd in Ohio weather. Not to mention the added cost and insurance.

I previously had a 2013 V6 and this blows it away. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed the 3.7, but to me the Ecoboost is just superior. It's only 5 more hp then my 2013 was, but it seems like much more. I'm sure a lot of that is also the 3.55 rear end and much more tq. Obie must have an issue with his because for me the power is right there immediately. I could rave on more, but for now I'll just state again that it exceeded my expectations.

Right now I'm getting 18 mpg. Almost all of that is city. I'm sure it'll improve.

Gas mileage is not nearly as good as projected by Ford. I am getting 23-24 overall. But I am sure I would be getting at most 16 with the GT!
Lots of GT owners are getting good MPG.

Many of us were worried that the EB was not going to get as good as projected because that 4 cylinder has to pull a very heavy car. The GT on the other hand has the power to easily do it.

I'd like to know from Ecobeast four drivers the following:

1) When cruising on the interstate at about 80mph, what rpm is the engine turning on the manual (probably same with the automatic)? My interstate driving is in states with 75 or 80 mph speed limits so when my I-4 is delivered I will be cruising at 80 in sixth gear often.

2) How is the acceleration from stop light or stop sign from 0-5 or 0-10 mph?

Thanks - ranchero -
70 mph in 6th is right around 2200rpms...maybe a couple100 More. Acceleration off the line is impressive and I can't wait till I find a 15 gt that wants a little 0-50 drag.

Why 0-50? Did you mean 0-60? Let us know what happen when you find a v6 too.

I've had my EB manual w/ PP for a little over a month now. Already has 2500 miles on it! It is my daily driver and spends most of its time commuting in city traffic. I've been averaging 22-23 around town. We went on a trip this past weekend that was 100% highway miles, and I averaged a little over 29, and that was driving through the mountains. You do have to watch your speed though - it's easy to find yourself going much faster than expected because the power is plentiful and the ride is smooth. I have 3 different Mustangs currently, and I have to say that this is the easiest one to handle in my daily commute. I was actually hoping it would be a little better on gas than the turbo compact SUV I was driving, but it's about the same. It is a whole lot more fun though! Gas mileage wasn't a huge concern as I usually drive only 200-300 miles per week. However, since I'm not planning to track this car, I couldn't justify the extra cost of the GT when the EB has enough power for me!

Less than 200 miles on mine, but I love it. Really accelerates quickly, but makes it feel effortless. As somebody else described, it's kinda sneaky. I'll feel like i'm babying it and then look up to see i'm doing 85.

Only getting about 21 MPG so far, but it's also still burning off the 87 gas the dealer added. It does get about 31-32 while i'm cruising on the interstate.

I honestly couldn't be happier with it.

I test drove a auto EB/pp and it was great. In normal it was meh....but in sport I was really surprised on how much it perc up ! The new suspension did really feel great. I purposely looked to unbalance it on every little bump pot hole I could find, and no worries there.

I would say if I was looking for a DD, the EB would be on the top of the list for sure.

2300 trouble free miles on ours...really like the term "sneaky fast". Milage has been as expected in the 32 - 33 range on highway with mixed anywhere from 22 - 28. Cold weather decreases mileage.

Just put a rocker stripe on the car yesterday with the lettering "302".

Throughly enjoying the ride!

302 on an EB? 140T may be better. That said, all that matters is that you like it :D
