They are mono tone per car, but strangely the horns do sound slightly different between my two mustangs.

The sound of our mustang horns remind me of a goose. 🪿

If I remember correctly in this forum. There was originally 2 then they switched to 1. I believe now they switched back to 2 again. lol

I believe 15-17 cars are the dual horn. Starting from 18+ ford switched to a single horn.

It looks like you have a gen 2 so you should have the dual horns. One of my horns stopped working and it sounded similar to yours. Higher pitched and not as loud. I had to replace mine.

Your car was built with a single. Some of us ordered the dual horn to replace it. It is not very expensive.

It is easiest to install it by removing the front left wheel and fender liner.

Ford reduced cost in 2019 by deleting the dual horn setup to a single horn, as opposed to the dual (L and R) horns.

A Ford SSM was also released telling Service Centers that it was a running change and that it’s completely normal in the event a Customer has a concern.
