Hood

This is my first time posting but have been trolling since I bought my Mustang (2 months ago). Anyway, I was getting on the freeway today and a truck decided he wanted stop my from entering the freeway so I downshifted to 3rd stomped on it and went through the gears and the car jumped up to about 140 in no time (clear open roads). I could see the truck way back there trying to catchup and was thinking about continuing riding her hard but then noticed the hood really looked like it was lose, so lose that I was afraid it might come up on me so I slowed down. My question is, has anyone else noticed this and is it normal?

Did you close it properly? There are times even it looks close but its actually not properly latched.
I have to drop mine from at least 12 inch height to close it properly.

If it's not latched all the way you get a warning on the dash.

Known issue. Hoods have been fluttering on the Mustang at high speeds for 10+ years. It's not going anywhere.

Their is a video of a mustang racing a viper on YouTube. You can see the Mustang hood flex about an inch above fender. You're all good

Thanks for all y'alls replies. Makes me feel better knowing that this isn't anything new and that my hood is not going to fly open. I didn't plan on going this fast but I have to admit it was fun, now for the bolt on's ...
