Hood Not Closing After Hood Pin Install

Good Evening Mustang Family

I recently installed hood pins on my aftermarket hood and the hood requires having to put pressure on the hood to close it.

Should I get shorter bolts if the original ones were slightly longer?

Rigid hood pins can be a total, absolute pain to get aligned perfectly. And when they are not perfectly aligned...well, you are experiencing the result. Been there myself.
