Hi All,
Just a quick word on something to avoid once all you guys have installed the hood vents.
Don't do what I did when washing the car at the weekend and lean i=on the bonnet just in front of the vent!
I did this and pushed the hood in a bit forcing the front of the vent to become unstuck. I am not sure whether to remove the vent and re-bond or just leave it. Will probably just leave it.

The fact is, there is a very small area to bond to so be careful around the vent area once fitted.

Good point actually!... and the disadvantage of it not sitting in a pressed/formed recess which would of course give the outer skin more strength!

Glad my set up does not have that problem and sit very flush and it would be a lot to remove them .

Would be interesting to see how these fit and work with the hood liner and how much it cost to get them installed. I was pretty dissapointed with the removal of the bonnet vents on the EU cars

Surprised no one offers cosmetic stick on vents like the side scoops you get (i've not really looked). As the "vent" is rear facing there'd be much less chance of wind resistance ripping them off and chucking them at following M3s ;)

UK cars dont get hood vents so know recess for them
Actually, he makes a good point, he's an AMERICAN Ecoboost, so no vents! :thumbsup:

There were actually made and attended for the GT hoods.i did have to modify the mounting brackets..aftrr that they fit super flush on the hood and sealed with weather stripping between the vents and hood
