Bingo. I am having this issue right now on my 2013 Fusion. Car has 35K miles and I was told it's not a hole and would not be covered under warranty.I hate to say it, but the Ford 5 year warranty is for perforation of sheet metal caused by corrosion. perforation is defined in the dictionaries as 'a hole'. Blistering paint is not a hole in sheet metal.
That means legally Ford and the dealers can refuse to address this, most likely after the 3/36 warranty expires.
