The homelink buttons work great. Was able to get rid of that ugly garage door clicker that used to hang on the visor of my old car. Much cleaner inside with the homelink!

I can't get the Homelink to work. I am hesitant to touch the learn button the garagedoor opener, /i don't want to undo the program for our other car.----if that is what I have to do. I can't get a live person on the Homelink 800 number

I was able to program mine by getting in the car and hitting the regular opener button and the visor button at the same time, hold both for 15 sec or so until the light flashes really fast then let go of both at the same time.. worked like a charm.. the manual has this procedure in it

My garage door opener is older than 2000, but I could get it to work on our 2006 Infiniti

It worked for mine. Everytime I get a new car I go through this process and it's trial and error and I never fully remember the sequence..... But, on my opener there is one specific thing that has to be done:

When I have "learned" the code from the garage door opener in the car, I then have to go in the garage and hit the learn button with the door open. Then jump in the car and hit the button until the door operates.

If the garage door is not open on my Craftsman opener, it will not accept the new in-car remote.

Everytime I get a new car I end up googling the manual for my opener on my phone to get the process right. I would suggest anyone with issues hit google for their specific manual since they can be different.

Yes, yes, thanks to all of you. I got my Homelink to work. It took me about 4 hours, but I have done it, yes, yes, yes. The key is to do the garage Learn button midway. I guess some you can program without touching that learn button

Thats what I have, I taught the opener in the visor the code, and then had to program the opener motor itself in the garage to that opener. It took a couple tries at each step but it's work fine since.

I liked the universal one on my F150 better than the home link one in the explorer and fusion. Worked better and easier to set. JMHO. Never could get it to learn by pushing the learn button on the opener. Had to get it to pair with the remote. When you push the button you have to hold it down and wait for it to work. The truck just pushed and opened
