I will be ordering it. I bought a head gun from harbor freight to remove the air bag stickers. First one went great, second one I thought I was a pro by that time and burnt a whole in the fabric (which of course was the drivers side). Still looks better with the hole than the air bag sticker.

Got mine and installed it.
Only problem is that for some reason the homelink does not seem to recognize my opener. Maybe mine is too old.

Try making the opener learn the home link after. It worked for mine after it didn't work just programming it to the clicker.

Will the visor work on a 2015 V6?

Hey everyone, my first post here. My Mustang has been on order for 3 weeks now, feels like 3 months already!

Homelink is the one feature that I wished was an option on the V6, but it's not. Does anyone know if the visor mentioned in this thread will work with a V6?

Also, I've worked with Homelink a lot with my previous vehicles and have had good success with connecting it in my cars as well as friends and family. Assuming it works the same on the Mustang, it's should be a 2-step process:

Step 1- Sync the Homelink with your current garage door opener REMOTE first (the one that is probably in your car now :)). Do this by pressing the the button on the remote that opens/closes the garage door and then press the Homelink button that you want to set up to open/close the garage door. Hold both buttons until the Homelink light flashes quickly (3 times if I remember correctly). Note- If you don't unplug your garage door opener during this step, the door WILL go up/down!!!

Step 2- Press the LEARN button on your garage door opener, then go back to your car and press and hold the same Homelink button that you pressed in step 1 until you see the garage door opener light flash off and on once. If the garage door opener light flashes, connection should be a success. Press the Homelink button in the car again; the garage door should start going up/down.

Hope that helps!

If your drivers side visor has a lighted mirror the homelink visor should work.
Mine was a base GT but I would suspect the base V6 uses the same visor.
Somewhere in one of these threads is a link to a dealership that sells the assembly for around $130, much better than the $180 my dealer wanted.
As has also been mentioned, it is a real simple 5 minute install.

OMG! Silver State ford parts has changed the part # and the new one ends in DB and the price is now over $300!!!! Damn. Guess I waited too long. Anyone else have a line on the Ebony Homelink visor for less than $130? Wife won't let me spend any more.

I ran in the same issue.. I waited for my car to arrive and then Ford changed part #. Don't know why it now costs about three times than the previous version since it is identical :-\
