I never turned that feature on. I don't know if it's irritating or not. It's certainly something that isn't necessary.Ugh, another "solution" in search of a problem. Please tell me this can be permanently disabled (something that only has to be switched off once). Never driven a car with this and it seems like it would be irritating.
Could be true. I'm 47, but it's funny how it no longer seems that old once you get there. ;) I learned to drive in a 70 super beetle and my dad taught me how to use the hand brake "manual hill assist". It's not hard.Only old people don't like hill assist.
I think ABS is good, but I would love to see air bags become optional.I guess at 35 I'm "old" in some circles. When I was 15, the first week of learning to use the clutch I might have wanted it. If it were absolutely seamless in nearly all situations I might be ok with it now, but I doubt that will be the case (traction control and ABS come to mind, and cars/trucks should have a simple off switch for both).
Ehh, I don't think it's hard to use the hand brake. It's just like driving a manual transmission to me. Every shift is a little different and you never achieve perfection, but getting good at something that isn't that easy is a fun thing in my opinion. I probably will never try out the automatic collision avoidance features when I buy a car with them either. I just have fun my own way. It doesn't mean I'm better than you, I just like what I like.Yeah...there should be an off switch for ABS...because you can stop faster without it and you love flat spots?
I think it's funny to see people downing technogy features because they prefer some more "basic" way of driving. Everyone puff out your chests and repeat after me "we don't need none of this new fangled crap!"
Interesting to hear. The hill assist felt different depending on how much force I used on the brake.
The disengagement point changed. I tried it about 6 or so times.
The E brake worked better for me until I got used to the stick.
